Raised by Ella Salvador (Kaye Abad) as a kind-hearted girl filled with love and compassion in her heart, Mikmik (Sophia Reola) is like a ray of sunshine to everyone she meets. Therefore, even after Ella passed away, Mikmik still applied everything she learned from her mother and lived life with righteousness and goodwill. Despite finding herself in the middle of what seemed like never-ending chaos between the Salvador and Villaluna families, Mikmik continued to let goodness reign in her heart. Though there were times that she became so confused and felt like giving up, Mikmik’s loving guardians, including her foster parents Ruth (Matet De Leon) and Benjie (Keempee De Leon), her father Michael Villluna (RK Bagatsing), and her ‘tita’ Grace (Shaina Magdayao) too, has helped her in fighting for achieving a happy life.
Having that kind of wonderful character, Mikmik has influenced the people around her to become more loving and caring too. Here are some of the people who transformed into a better person because of Mikmik.
1. The servants at the Salvador mansion
When Mikmik entered the Savador mansion, the servants who lived around her were all cold and unwelcoming. They saw Mikmik as someone who might get them into trouble, knowing that their employers resent the little girl. However, when Mikmik showed how much she cares for them by helping them in their responsibilities and giving them tokens of appreciation, the security guard named Roy (Hyubs Azarcon) and the housemaids Sarah (Ethyl Anne Osorio), Marilyn (Lotlot Bustamante), Chichi (Patricia Liwanag) and Barbie (Moi Bien) were touched and eventually had a kinder attitude.
2. Britney Salvador
Although Britney Salvador (Heart Ramos) is not really a bad kid, she lets her elder sister dictate her actions and obeys whatever her ‘ate’ commands, whether it is good or bad. But when she came to know Mikmik, Britney learned how to speak for herself and to stand up for what is right. She became more understanding and much more expressive of how much she cares towards the people around her.
3. Amber Salvador
Ambitious and spoiled by her mommy Katrina (Cristine Reyes), Amber Salvador (Krystal Mejes) always did whatever it took to get what she wanted, regardless if it meant being a brat or bullying others. After hurting Mikmik many times, Amber started to change her attitude when Mikmik saved her from drowning. Unfortunately, many events after that led her back again into bullying Mikmik. Nevertheless, when she saw her mom’s true colors at the end, Amber decided to become kind and compassionate.
4. Don David Villaluna
For many years, Don David Villaluna (Dante Rivero) has let himself to be a ruthless and cunning business tycoon. With that, he was feared by everyone around him and was hated by his sons. Yet, when he came to know his cute, funny, and good-natured granddaughter Mikmik, Don David’s heart softened. Because of Mikmik, he learned how to be nicer to other, how to be an upright man and how to be more loving towards his family.
5. Doña Divina Salvador
Bitterness, anger and revenge filled the heart of Doña Divina Salvador (Pilar Pilapil) for a long time since her husband and her only son died. She has let those emotions rule her actions and with that, even though she won’t admit it, all her days were filled with misery. Until, she met her granddaughter Mikmik, who always expressed love towards her. Experiencing how it is to be loved selflessly by Mikmik, Doña Divina learned how to be more generous and how to love selflessly too.
Indeed, Mikmik’s goodness became the key to end the long-drawn feud between the Salvador and the Villaluna family. She did not give up on them despite their scornful actions. Instead, she gave them hope by always believing that everyone could change and become a better version of themselves.
