After almost eight months of brightening up our mornings and touching our hearts with its gripping narrative and stellar ensemble, not to mention the adorable lead child actress Sophia Reola, Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit is now approaching its thrilling end this coming Friday, October 18.
Thus, before they completely bid farewell, Entertainment.ABS-CBN.com asked some of the cast members to whom they are the closest among their co-stars and who they are going to miss the most. While majority of them mentioned being close to almost everyone, each of them still willingly named names.
Portraying the father of the main protagonist played by Sophia and the loveteam partner of Shaina Magdayao, RK Bagatsing tagged them as the ones he will really miss the most. Being naturally fond of kids, Shaina said that she’ll surely miss Sophia, Miguel Vergara, Heart Ramos, and Krystal Mejes. Sharing the same sentiment was Keempee de Leon who admitted missing interacting with children despite having a daughter.
As for Matet, it will be her family on the program, comprised of Miguel, Keempee, Sophia, and Ces Quesada, the same with Enzo Pineda who’s going to miss his bonding moments with his on-screen family RK and Mr. Dante Rivero behind-the-scenes.
Best friends Sophia and Miguel both agreed that they’ve been drawn the most to their director FM Reyes and their fellow young stars. Meanwhile, on-screen sisters Heart and Krystal both said that they’re close to everyone in the set, with the former emphasizing that it will be her Kuya Enzo who she’s going to miss the most.
On the other hand, the villains Cristine Reyes and Ms. Pilar Pilapil imparted how they’re able to establish a personal and tight bond off-cam, far from the tumultuous relationship of their characters, Katrina and Doña Divina respectively.
When quizzed regarding the valuable lessons that the viewers are going to realize in the last episode, their responses revolved in attaining and bestowing unconditional love to family and other people, choosing to see the goodness in each other, and learning to forgive and bury the hatchet.
