In the daytime drama series Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit, the tension between the Villalunas and the Salvadors continues to rise because of the selfish and vengeful intentions of Katrina Salvador (Cristine Reyes). Like how dirty she always play, Katrina brainwashed the minds of the employees in the Salvador Company and led them to believe that Michael Villaluna (RK Bagatsing) was the one who planted the bomb during their company’s project launching event.
Although she and Divina Salvador (Pilar Pilapil) strongly feels that David Villaluna (Dante Rivero) was the one who did it, Katrina plotted to point the investigation towards his son Michael. At one point, it was strategically good because it will surely force David to confess that he committed the crime to save his beloved son from misery. However, Katrina’s execution of her plan is definitely wrong.
Seeing how the bombing has badly wounded and affected the employees of the Salvador Company, Katrina grabbed the opportunity to turn their agony into rage. She fed their minds with lies. On her command, she and the employees stormed at Michael’s residence. Led by Katrina, they are able to freely hurt the children including Joseph (Michael Vergara) and Mikmik (Sophia Reola) physically, as well as their outnumbered, helpless guardians. Together with the enraged staff, Katrina threw stones at them while trying to break into their gate. But the truth is, Michael came to the said project-launching event not to plant the explosives, but to warn and save them from what he knew was coming.
