With his obviously handsome features that he surely got from his Mommy Vilma Santos-Recto and Daddy Edu Manzano, his comedic chops that he emulated from his dad, and his formidable flair in hosting, there’s indeed no wonder why Luis Manzano is hailed as one of the top-notch and most in-demand presenters in the country.
In his almost two-decade career, he has already been the face of several reality, variety, and game shows of ABS-CBN, and one of those is the Minute To Win It franchise which he has been hosting since its inception in 2013 and for three seasons now.
Aside from the exciting challenges they prepared for the players, what makes it undeniably enjoyable in the past years are his hilarious antics and banters with the players and sidekicks, as well as the memorable moments in his life that he proudly shared on TV.
As we’re about to say goodbye to the aforementioned program anew, let’s take a look back first on Luis’ highlights on Minute To Win It: Last Man Standing that were the most viewed online.
Daddy Edu proudly ‘wears’ Luis Manzano
It seemed that veteran actor-slash-original game show master Edu Manzano found it hard to detach from his antagonistic role as Lucas Cabrera in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as the host, who is also his son, revealed that he came to work that day unprepared. Thinking that they would want him to appear in character, he only brought him formal attire that he usually wore on the primetime series. Fortunately, Luis lent him a pair of rubber shoes, socks, and shorts, which he used throughout the episode.
Jessy’s birthday present for her ‘my love’
As he celebrated his 38th birthday last April, his Minute To Win It family gave him a truly valuable gift – his “howhow”, Jessy Mendiola. Apart from her presence, she also brought with her a surprise present that totally made everyone laugh and her touching birthday wish for her beloved beau.
I Can See Your Voice fam’s gifts for Luis
In line with the celebration of his birthday, his I Can See Your Voice fambam were invited to be the players for that week. Aside from greeting him a ‘Happy Birthday’, they also handed their gifts to him one-by-one that truly made Luis and the audiences delighted and LOL at the same time.
Luis addresses ‘issue’ with Long and Negi
Ever since the third season began last January, the trio of Luis, Long Mejia, and Negi has been our favorite comic attractions in the show. However, there are times when they are not complete as the two comedians had to be absent due to their other commitments. Thus, the host asked them for a talk in order to address the ‘issue’ of their frequent absences. But the discourse that was supposed to be peaceful had gone terrible as Long and Negi got physical as they tried to save their spots on the show.
PBB Otso’s Sky Quizon wows Luis with his skills
Finding at least three of the eight pingpong balls hidden underneath 50 upturned red cups was indeed a difficult feat. However, Pinoy Big Brother Otso’s Sky Quizon was able to do it in astoundingly three consecutive attempts which truly stunned the host and allowed him and teammate Gino Roque to move on to the final round.
Catch Luis on the remaining episodes of Minute To Win It: Last Man Standing, weeknights after Gangnam Beauty on Primetime Bida.
