The last time fans saw Claudine Barretto in a Kapamilya teleserye was on the 2009 inspirational series May Bukas Pa, after which she would return to ABS-CBN six years after in the Maalaala Mo Kaya episode “Itak.” She would also appear in the 2015 Star Cinema movie “Etiquette for Mistresses.” Since then she would make portray occasional lead roles on MMK, the last being “Dance Floor” last year.
Though her showbiz appearances might have been intermittent through the years, Claudine’s name would still sporadically pop up in the headlines, considering her family’s fame. But for the most part, she has been busy with other things, one of which was being a mother.
Claudine has four beloved children, namely Sabina, Santino, Quia and Noah. Santino is her biological son with ex-husband Raymart Santiago. Meanwhile, she is the adoptive mom of her three other kids, Sabina, Quia, and Noah. Despite not all being related by blood, these pictures show nothing but a happy family. From birthdays and vacations to graduations and other celebrations, Claudine must put her family first before anything else. One person who has helped her along the way is her sister Gretchen Barretto.
It is no secret that the relationship between the Barretto sisters is a controversial one. Yet, during her chat with the King of Talk on Tonight with Boy Abunda, she recounted how she and Gretchen reconnected. “Mas close kami ngayon,” Claudine started off. After a friend called, the two had a spontaneous reunion at the lobby of a hotel. There were no tears shed because they just simply wanted to let each other know that they loved one another. “Ang sarap ng may ate,” she stated.
Now, they practically talk and laugh about anything. Not only that, Gretchen is taking her tita duties very seriously. “She’s helping me raise my children,” Claudine explained. Just like that, the past is in the past. This only proves how strong familial bond truly is.
