Camille Andrei Marry Me Marry You

In its four month-run, Marry Me Marry You has indeed filled our weeknights with good vibes, kilig, and inspiration through its magnificent narrative and admirable characters. But more than making the butterflies in our stomachs aflutter, Camille and Andrei, compellingly portrayed by Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino, has surely inspired a lot of us through their relationship.

And now that the well-loved primetime drama is on its “Merrily Ever After?” finale week, let’s look back on their inspiring love journey in this Kapamilya Toplist feature!

It may have been a case of “hate at first sight” for them after an accident intertwined their paths, but love was able to still bloom between them eventually. It all started when Andrei sought the help of Camille in getting in touch with Mr. Mercado (Joel Saracho), who’s a frequent customer at the coffeeshop she used to work. She was initially hesitant to accept his offer because she was annoyed of him, but her financial woes then compelled her to work with him.

They may not be very close yet and he was being apathetic during that time, but Andrei already showed he also cares for Camille when he came into her rescue as her ex-boyfriend Rick (Akihiro Blanco) forced her to be with him. He may not be able to throw a punch at him nor fight back, but it was enough for Rick to leave.

Working together was both a bliss and a challenge for both of them, especially when Emilio (Edu Manzano) disapproved Andrei’s proposed project and embarrassed him in front of everyone in his team. As she witnessed how passionate he is in the project and in his job in general, Camille decided to support him by joining him in the company he was then about to put up.
Their partnership allowed them to know each other better and was able to finally figure out the special connection they had in the past – she was the girl who courageously saved him from getting drowned after trying to save the game console from his mom that his dad threw to the sea. Their lovely affair began and Camille introduced him to her late “mamay” (or mom) as the one she’d been looking for as he makes her genuinely happy and never asked her to choose between him and her family.

But it was immediately challenged when Camille found out that her foster mom Elvie (Cherry Pie Picache) is Andre’s biological mom. Since they weren’t able to patch things up between them in the past, both of them pretended that they didn’t know each other when they first met again after so many years. This indeed infuriated Camille, especially when Andrei refused to talk nor mend his rift with his mom. Thus, she decided to resign from his company and break up with him, which he both declined.

Andrei eventually mustered the strength to communicate again with Elvie and fix their broken relationship by forgiving her for leaving him when he was still young. At the same time, this also fortified his relationship with Camille and her beloved family, and all’s well that ends well for all of them.

They got married not long after and was ecstatic to welcome their first child and build their dream house. Unfortunately, their joy got short-lived when Camille suffered from miscarriage that once again put their romance on the rocks as she went through psychological distress and anxiety. But instead of picking a fight on her or leaving her everytime she blamed him for the demise of their supposed firstborn, he chose to understand her and stayed by her side throughout their healing process.

Just when they thought that they’re going to finally have a happily ever after, another issue arose – it was discovered that Andrei is the biological father of Patrcia’s (Iana Bernardez) daughter Baby Jasmine. It almost tore them apart, but their love for each other is stronger and Camille agreed to help them take good care of their child.

As their about to face more challenges in the finale week, are Andrei and Camille still going to live merrily ever after? Well, let’s all find out by watching the remaining episodes of Marry Me Marry You, weeknights after FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z Channel 11, and TV5!
