Do you wish you could visit Croatia where Gabo and Billy met in Make It With You? Well, this is your chance to roam around the scenic country. The best part is Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil are you’re your guide!
The primetime series was shot in Dubrovnik, also known as the Old City. It might already look familiar because some scenes from “Game of Thrones” were also shot there. The main entrance to the city is the Pile Gate. It still has a draw bridge that countless people walked across through the centuries. This gate is always open, but in a rare moment, it was closed during the filming of “Game of Thrones”.
Pass the entrance you will be greeted by Big Onofrio’s Fountain. This drinking fountain was constructed between 1434 to 1440, but it is still fully functioning today. “You can really drink the water here in Croatia, kahit ‘yung tap water nila masarap,” Liza shared. According to the two, it was cool and refreshing.
There is also the Masqueron, a gargoyle’s head protruding from a wall. The legend is that if you can stand on the gargoyle’s head for 15 seconds then you will find your true love. The challenge is that you only have 15 centimeters or 5 inches of footing. Did LizQuen try it? Yes, they did. “Nagawa naming pareho,” Lisa boasted.
Stradun is the main street in Dubrovnik. It is filled by shops and people. Back in the 90s, this city actually suffered damages during a war. Luckily, they were able to preserve the culture and history of the land.
Liza and Enrique also visited a local bakery, the old town market, and more. All of that is on the second part of Croatia walking tour, so make sure to check out that video as well!
