A luxury car is parked at a quiet corner in Nueva Valencia. Inside the vehicle is Ted (Ian Veneracion) talking with an outsider who he apparently ordered to sabotage the Pusong Dimagiba production. But the spy says that the Dimagiba family prefers to hire someone from the same town. Ted takes a pause as if thinking of another tactic and then he decides to take charge of everything.
The next day, Ted pays a visit at the Dimagiba abode. He feigns warmth towards the family and pretends craving for Lola Iling (Vangie Labalan)’s paksiw na bangus recipe. A serious conversation between Ted and Tony (Herbert Baustista) follows. At first, the topic just revolves around their children’s recent blunder. Ted continues the act by apologizing on Gabo’s behalf, saying he should’ve asked Gabo to drive Billy (Liza Soberano) home instead of harbouring her for a night. Then, Ted brings up the Pusong Dimagiba’s struggling production due to the growing infestation at the mango farm. Ted volunteers to fund the Pusong Dimagiba but Tony declines the offer. Tony says that he is trying to apply for a money loan at the Banco de Nueva Valencia.
Ted no longer insists his wish but later, while on the way out of the village, he contacts someone connected to Banco de Nueva Valencia. He also throws the ‘paksiw na bangus’ packed by Lola Iling, unmasking himself off the kindness he displayed in front of the locals.
