To prove her competence as a possible Product Development Head for Tinapay Corner, Billy (Liza Soberano) goes through a panel interview with the Villarica Corporation Board of Directors, a set-up that Gabo (Enrique Gil) orchestrated with the intent of pushing her to failure. Gabo’s staff worries for Billy, knowing how intimidating the Board members are. Even Ted (Ian Veneracion) admits that the test would be difficult to surpass and the Board is almost impossible to impress. With these remarks, Gabo is certain that Billy would be pushed to back out. But the strong-willed Billy is able to pass the interview.
At Ted’s office, Billy thanks the senior Villarica for the job opportunity. Ted appears pleasant and says Billy is natural charmer plus the panel was amazed of her ideas. Ted turns serious as he hints at asking a big favour from Billy. But apparently, he just wants to request for Lola Iling (Vangie Labalan)’s “paksiw na bangus” dish. The mood lights up and Billy is totally convinced of Ted’s kindness. As soon as Billy leaves the room, Ted’s face is seen coated with an alarming aura of treachery.
Surprised over Billy’s sudden change of plans, Sputnik (Khalil Ramos) couldn’t help but act worried knowing the Villaricas’ wicked tendencies. He warns Billy to never completely trust the Villaricas as they could easily hurt her and her family. Sputnik describes the Villaricas as dangerous.
Unknown to Billy, her childhood friend’s concern actually holds true. The succeeding scene shows Ted and Mr. Tanoto talking about her new role for the Villarica Corporation. The conversation between the two devious businessmen suggests that hiring Billy is just a tiny detail of a bigger plan which is to acquire Nueva Valencia.
