Gabo (Enrique Gil) wakes up to the inviting smell of a breakfast meal in the kitchen. Maita (Pokwang) serves the pancakes and displays her motherly side towards her nephew. She worries that Gabo might not be taking enough rest, eating on time, and taking his medicines because of the responsibilities handed by Ted (Ian Veneracion). She criticizes Ted for not taking good care of his own son.
Gabo insists that he would be fine even without his father. Besides, he’s been independent since he was young, always unaware of his father’s whereabouts. Maita pedals back from his negative remarks about Ted a while ago, saying he isn’t that bad after all. She adds that Gabo would have loved to meet Ted’s younger self, a free-spirited guy just like him. But the cruel world slowly hardened Ted’s compassionate heart.
At the office, Gabo catches Sputnik (Khalil Ramos) worrying over a magazine article implying his relationship with Billy (Liza Soberano). Above the write-up is the childhood friends’ photo taken from Atty. Vergara’s birthday party. Gabo hides his relief when Sputnik clarifies that he and Billy are not a couple. But his face suddenly turns blank when Sputnik makes an honest confession about his admiration for Billy. Sputnik says he’s long been in love with Billy and he thinks it is now the best time to pursue her.
