The episode establishes the real life of Gabo or Gabriel Villarica (Enrique Gil), the President of Tinapay Corner. Gabo meticulously checks on Tinapay Corner’s production and scolds one employee for a piece of bread’s untidy packaging. Gabo seems strict and intense as a boss. He picks up a call from Ivana and he talks about their plans for that night in a manner full of seduction.
The scene cuts to Gabo and Ivana almost getting intimate in a private room. The lady is evidently smitten by Gabo’s charm and is willing to spend the night with him. Gabo plays hard to get and inviting at the same time. But it turns out that he is simply alluring Ivana to convince her into investing her money for Tinapay Corner.
The next day, at the office, Gabo listens to his secretary’s report on Tinapay Corner’s hectic schedule. Afterwards, Gabo confronts his Uncle David for cancelling the release of his shares amounting to one hundred million pesos. The young man is completely disappointed.
Gabo goes back to his office and finds his father, Ted (Ian Veneracion) waiting for him to talk about the one hundred million peso fund. Gabo expresses determination to prove himself and win more investors if these are the only way he could get his money back.
Still, Ted asserts that Gabo’s efforts are inadequate. He shuts Gabo out while in an attempt to explain his side further, hinting at a deeper conflict between them. Ted dares Gabo to prove that his business venture would boom or else he would close down Tinapay Corner without reluctance.
Meanwhile, Gabo is clueless that his business branch in the town of Poblacion is competing against Billy (Liza Soberano)’s Panaderia de Tony . And the latter seems to be doing better. Gabo arrives home and notes that Tinapay Corner’s pudding samples taste differently. So, he bakes several pieces using the recipe he created with Billy. Meanwhile, at Nueva Valencia, Billy recycles the leftover bread and transforms them into her special ‘pan de tsalap’. Memories of their times in Croatia pass by their minds while baking their own bread pudding.
