Tinapay Corner staff members arrive at Gabo (Enrique Gil)’s rest house to report for a weekend duty. While given a grace period, Billy (Liza Soberano) lands to Gabo’s bedroom as she tries to find her way to the toilet. She gazes at the displayed photographs first and finds images of a young Gabo and his mother. Billy goes inside the bathroom. Her eyes widen upon hearing Gabo’s distant voice. Thinking that he’s already out, Billy quietly sneaks out of the toilet only to find Gabo changing his clothes. She froze at the sight of his body. Billy keeps her eyes glued to a long incision scar on Gabo’s abdomen. That night after work, Gabo joins Billy in the pool. Little by little, he is learning to become more open about his mom.
Meanwhile, Rio (Katarina Rodriguez) is drowning in guilt after unintentionally sleeping with a random guy she met at the club. Jenna (Jach Manere) acts cool while saying that one mistake would never be enough to downplay all the sacrifices that Rio made for Gabo.
The scene cuts back to Billy wishing to clarify the cause of Gabo’s scar. He then reveals that he suffered from a kidney failure after coming home to the Philippines. He recalls Jessica (Pokwang) telling her that Rio was the one extremely affected about his condition. A flashback scene shows Gabo waking up in the hospital. The doctor explains that he just had a kidney transplant. Gabo asks about the donor’s identity. Rio comes in, seated on a wheelchair and looking pale after the operation. They held each other’s arms.
Back at the rest house, Billy cries and tells Gabo that she now understands his reasons for choosing Rio.
