The war between Billy (Liza Soberano) and Gabo (Enrique Gil) becomes more enflamed when Panderia de Tony is engulfed in fire. The Dimagiba family rushes to the site and are all devastated upon seeing what happened.
Billy recalls Gabo’s warning that their company would do whatever it takes to win the battle. Moreover, she gets a phone call from Mr Acapulco of Acapulco Action sa Radio at TV who exposed the Villaricas’ anomalies, telling her that he received threats after airing the interview. Weaving these clues together, Billy arrives at the conclusion that the fire was orchestrated and that there’s no one else more capable of doing it than the Villaricas.
Billy storms off to Gabo’s office and punches him without a warning. Gabo appears innocent from Billy’s allegations but the latter has made up her mind that Gabo is an evil liar. She calls him the biggest mistake she would regret for the rest of her life. Billy feels distressed now that she lost the small business that helps her provide for her family’s needs. As Billy leaves the place, Gabo orders his secretary to contact the Tinapay Corner branch manager in Nueva Valencia and verify the fire incident that Billy is accusing him of.
Upon confirmation of Billy’s claims, Gabo confronts his father Ted (Ian Veneracion) to ask about his possible involvement in the arson. Ted doesn’t deny the crime and he even asserts that they need to play dirty sometimes, otherwise, they wouldn’t be on the pedestal. Gabo expresses disgust towards his father’s wickedness.
To loosen up a bit, Gabo heads to his Tita Jessica (Pokwang)’s house. The place is adorned with paintings and artsy ornaments. Tita Jessica displays her fun persona by playing-hide-and-seek with Gabo and blending in with a painting on her wall. Tita Jessica embraces Gabo and asks what happened. The sophisticated lady appears unsurprised upon learning what Ted did to their rival bakery. She advises Gabo to leave Ted’s abode like what he did before, so as to escape from his father’s cruel treatment.
While Gabo is admittedly scared into becoming like his own Dad, he knows he couldn’t just easily run away. Tita Jessica tells Gabo to grow into a man that he would be proud of, contrary to the kind of person that Ted wants him to be.
