At Nueva Valencia, Gabo (Enrique Gil) tries to make reparations by offering Billy (Liza Soberano) a tie-up with Tinapay Corner. He plans to get the Dimagiba family as a mango essence supplier. Still hurting and mad, Billy shuts Gabo out and rejects the proposal.
Just as when Gabo is about to leave, a heavy thunderstorm starts pouring. The Dimagiba family stays home and takes their dinner. Electricity shuts down and a series of knocks is heard outside. Cassandra (Riva Quenery) opens the door and the family members find Gabo standing outside, drenched in rainwater.
The Dimagibas stare by the windows while weighing the options for their surprise guest. Monsy (Hero Bautista) makes jokes about holding Gabo in hostage in exchange of ransom. Tony (Herbert Bautista) suggests waiting for Gabo’s service to arrive and just let him go afterwards. Everyone agrees with Tony except Lolo Aga (Eddie Guttierrez). The Dimagiba patriarch says their clan has always been known for their innate kindness; and that they must all show compassion no matter how bad they’ve been treated. Besides, the village is probably covered in mud.
Gabo spends the night at the Dimagiba residence. While joining the family for breakfast, Gabo reiterates his offer. Billy is displeased seeing her family in the brink of giving in to Gabo’s proposal. She furiously drags him out of the house for a confrontation while the Dimagiba family pries.
A brilliant man that he is, Gabo knows exactly that his offer could singlehandedly turn the entire Nueva Valencia’s livelihood for the good. Billy asks him to leave, persistent on her claims that they don’t anything from the Villaricas.
Looking deeper into the cause of Billy’s anger, Gabo starts to understand that she is mad at him for leaving her without a word. Gabo says sorry for doing so. He says he just missed his life as a powerful and wealthy businessman. Gabo admits that he was just having fun pretending to be a poor guy in Croatia.
Gabo bluntly admits that he never took Billy seriously. Everything they shared in Croatia, especially the short-lived romance, was nothing but just a game for him.
Unable to bear the hurt, Billy allows her tear to roll down. She slaps Gabo and calls him a jerk. Billy’s heart shatters into pieces. She storms back into the house after furiously pushing Gabo out of the village and out of her life
