This Monday, September 19, Jericho Rosales returns to primetime television in “Magpahanggang Wakas” with Arci Muñoz and John Estrada. Today, let us look back at his past teleseryes in the Kapamilya network to know why the award-winning actor deserves to be called the Asian Drama King.
Jericho played the role of Buboy in Esperanza starring Judy Ann Santos, Wowie de Guzman, Piolo Pascual, Marvin Agustin, Jolina Magdangal and Carmina Villaroel. He was the love interest of Cecille Montejo/Regina Salgado (Angelika dela Cruz) in the primetime drama series.
Ang Munting Paraiso (1999-2002)
He portrayed the role of Alberto Dionisio in the weekly family drama Ang Munting Paraiso. He was the eldest son of the Martin s(Ronaldo Valdez) and Margarita (Coney Reyes) who loved to cook and help his mom do the household chores. He had a girlfriend named Rowena (Kristine Hermosa).

He played the role of Angelo Buenavista in the phenomenal primetime teleserye Pangako Sa ‘Yo. He was a man disturbed by his own principles and of his family's disposition that led him to a consistent emotional battle with his parents, Eduardo (Tonton Gutierrez) and Madam Claudia (Jean Garcia). He fell in love with their housemaid Yna (Kristine Hermosa) and did everything to fight for their love.
Pangako Sa ‘Yo was aired successfully in Asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand and China, and African countries like Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, Tanzania, Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and Uganda.
Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas (2003-2004)
He portrayed the role of Christian Soriano in the top-rating primetime series Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas. Because of a ship accident, he got trapped in an isolated island with Ara (Kristine Hermosa) and eventually fell in love with her. When he found out of her family’s involvement in his painful past, he sought comfort with Mary Ann (Angelika dela Cruz).
He was nominated for Best Drama Actor in the 18th and 19th PMPC Star Awards for Television for his portrayal of Christian.
Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas was aired in Asian countries like Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia and Singapore, and countries in Africa like Cameroon, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Zambia.
Ang Panday (2005-2006)
He played the role of Tristan/Panday in the fantasy-drama series Ang Panday. He was a blacksmith who forged another magical sword, similar to the one Flavio (Phillip Salvador) created, to fight the evil Lizardo (Victor Neri) and save the love of his life Eden (Heart Evangelista).
Pangarap Na Bituin (2007)
He portrayed the role of Terrence Rodriguez in the musical primetime teleserye Pangarap Na Bituin. He was a childhood friend of Emerald (Sarah Geronimo) who became a talented and successful rockstar. He helped her become a famous singer, and eventually, he fell in love with her.
Kahit Isang Saglit (2008)
He played the role of Francisco 'Rocky' Santillan, Jr. in the romance-drama series Kahit Isang Saglit. He was a PDEA Agent who went to Malaysia for an important assignment. While in the foreign country, he accidentally bumped into Garie (Carmen Soo). He eventually fell in love with her, not knowing her father’s involvement of his father’s death.
He was nominated for Best Drama Actor in the 23rd PMPC Star Awards for Television for his portrayal of Rocky.
Kahit Isang Saglit was aired successfully in Malaysia and Singapore.
I Love Betty La Fea (2009)
He portrayed the role of Aldo in the fifth chapter of I Love Betty La Fea. He was the mysterious blind man who rescued and took care of Betty (Bea Alonzo) when her body reached the shore after falling off a boat. He helped changed her view of the world and taught her that what mattered most was not what’s on the outside but what’s on the inside.
Dahil May Isang Ikaw (2009)
He played the role of Miguel Ramirez in the legal drama series Dahil May Isang Ikaw. He encountered Ella (Kristine Hermosa) when they were still young. Few years after, they ran into each other again when both of them were already successful lawyers handling competing cases. They settled their differences and fought for their love even though their relationship was against the will of their siblings and adoptive parents.

Green Rose (2011)
He portrayed the role of Jerome Delgado in the Philippine remake of the Korean drama Green Rose. He fell in love with Angela (Anne Curtis), the daughter of his boss, despite they were from different worlds. Their happy love story suddenly changed when their relationship went through a major obstacle as he was framed up in a crime he didn’t even commit.
He was nominated for Best Drama Actor in the 25th PMPC Star Awards for Television and Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Drama Series in the Golden Screen TV Awards for his portrayal of Jerome.
Dahil Sa Pag-ibig (2012)
He played the role of Oliver Falcon/Jepoy Osorio in the primetime teleserye Dahil Sa Pag-ibig. He was the nemesis of Fr. Alfred Valderama/Benjamin Osorio Jr. (Piolo Pascual). He sought vengeance for the death of their father because believed that Alfred’s adoptive father Gov. Leo Valderama (Christopher de Leon) deserved to be punished for what he did while Alfred believed in forgiveness.
He won Best Drama Actor in the 26th PMPC Star Awards for Television and nominated Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Drama Series in the Golden Screen TV Awards for his portrayal of Oliver/Jepoy.
The Legal Wife (2014)
He portrayed the role of Adrian de Villa in the controversial drama series The Legal Wife. He was the man who taught Monica (Angel Locsin) how to love despite her unfortunate experiences from the past. He eventually became her husband but he broke her heart when she found out that he had an extramarital affair with her close friend Nicole (Maja Salvador).
He was nominated for Best Drama Actor in the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Television for his portrayal of Adrian.
Bridges of Love (2015)
He played the role of Gabriel 'Gael' Nakpil in the drama series Bridges of Love. He was separated from his brother JR/Carlos (Paulo Avelino) by an unfortunate tragedy when they were still children. He was bridged together by love with his brother by one woman, Mia (Maja Salvador), his one great love, and the woman who completed his brother's broken heart.
Bridges of Love was recently aired in Peru.
Magpahanggang Wakas (2016)
He plays the role of Waldo in the upcoming primetime series Magpahanggang Wakas. He is a righteous son from a happy family. Although unfortunate circumstances tear him and Aryann (Arci Muñoz) apart, destiny brings them back together. However, Aryann is already in the arms of Tristan (John Estrada), but nothing can stop him, not even the law or his moral integrity, to fight for his one great love.
