In the primetime series “Magpahanggang Wakas”, Mr. Sandoval (Ronaldo Valdez) was not only a generous boss to Waldo (Jericho Rosales) but he was also a loving and caring father figure to him. He trained him and trusted him with huge responsibilities because believed in his dedication. Before the series ends this Friday night, let us look back at some of the most unforgettable moments of Mr. Sandoval and list down five lessons in life he taught Waldo.
1. Never forget your humble beginnings.
While Waldo was about to eat a meal with Kulas (Lito Pimentel), Nenang (Liza Lorena), and King (Jomari Angeles), Mr. Sandoval dropped by and told Waldo of his plans to take a leave from work. He then joined the family in eating as he remembered his humble beginnings. He shared that just like Waldo, he wasn’t born with a silver spoon but he strived hard to have a better life.
2. Be tough and wise.
Mr. Sandoval told Waldo of his plans to extend his vacation leave so Waldo would continue to be the company’s OIC. When Waldo brought up the Supreme Pacific deal, Mr. Sandoval told him to think about it and warned him about Tristan Lozado (John Estrada). He then reminded Waldo that it’s good to have a heart but it also important to be tough and wise when making decisions.
3. Hard work always pays off.
Waldo, together with Aryann (Arci Muñoz), got surprised when he saw Mr. Sandoval together with his family at their home. Mr. Sandoval paid a visit to tell him the good news. After seeing Waldo’s dedication and hard work, he decided to give all of his properties to Waldo as a reward that made Waldo and his family very emotional.
4. Always be in love.
Mr. Sandoval informed Waldo that having feelings and a heart is both his strength and his weakness so he should learn to properly balance them especially at work. He also reminded him the importance of patience, obedience, gratefulness, and most of all, love. He told him to use his love for his work, family, and the special woman in his life as his inspiration to always strive better during hard times.
5. Don't forget to appreciate the simple things.
Even though he wasn’t feeling well, Mr. Sandoval reminded Waldo to not stress too much and simply enjoy life as it is. He then asked Waldo to join him watch the peaceful sky because sometimes, people get too busy and they forget to appreciate the simple and beautiful things around them. Before the sky went dark, Mr. Sandoval quietly said goodbye to Waldo and he peacefully passed away beside him.
