On their 4th day in the paradise island, the gang headed back to the base of Stingray Waterproof for their Parasailing activity. After being prepped by the General Manager, Lon Guillergan, on the safety precautions, they were all excited and at the same time nervous for what was in store for them. One or two people had to be attached to a parachute, which was fastened to a motorboat; and they would all cruise 200 meters up in the air while the boat glides on the water. Momshie Karla decided not to take on the task, so Melai and Jordan were up first. Jordan bravely took on the challenge while Melai started screaming because she was so nervous. It even got to the point where she forgot to use the hand signal taught to them by Lon, in case they wanted to stop. “Baba ako masakit ang dibdib ko! Kuya masakit ang heart ko!” she screamed. Jordan loved it so much that he wanted to give it another go, but this time he was partnered with Jhai Ho, who was very anxious as well. “It’s fun to try water adventures because kids love it. I was like a bird flying,” Jordan said excitingly.
Up next was Jolina, Kaladkaren and again Jhai Ho, who seemed to be more relaxed the second time around. The momshie was also a bit nervous at the beginning, but started to relax and enjoyed the excursion. She shared to her friends that it is only normal that as a mom, fears start to build up. She however, chose to continue and conquer her fears, which she adds, everyone should do. She also stressed that she had to ask permission from Pele if she could go Parasailing; because it was something that they planned to do together. Luckily enough she was able to do it, and even told her son while flying on air, “Anak, masarap ‘to. You have to trust mama. I won’t let you down. Let’s try this together.”
All 3 hosts had so much fun while they were sailing in the air, that they started reminiscing about their Boracay trip and how unforgettable it was with everything that they did. At one point, Kaladkaren had to cut in and said laughing, “pero ang nakakatuwa naman dyan, ‘yung pilikmata ko natangal na.” Another awesome experience for them was when the boat’s driver lowered their parachute, which would enable them to dip their legs in the water.
Jolina, Karla and Melai took time off to stroll around the beach area to catchup and talk about their families. Melai admitted that she misses her family who are back home while Jolina was fortunate enough to have her family with her on their Boracay trip, and said she just lets them enjoy. When Karla was asked about her eldest son Daniel Padilla and where he was at moment, the momshie replied that he is out of the country vacationing in Morocco with his girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo. “Eto ‘yung parang last vacation niya. Pagbalik niya, bugbugan na naman sa trabaho,” she disclosed. She also added that Daniel will be very busy with work until next year.
During the road trip the 3 momshies tackled on how to discipline their children when they plan to go on trips. Jolina shared that she packs the belongings of her children since they are still young, and is very meticulous about what they bring. “’Yung mga importanteng bagay, dinadala ko ‘yan,” she underscored. Karla said that at a young age, her children were very disciplined about being responsible for their own belongings. “Make sure na kayo ‘yung magdadala nun. Walang magdadala nun for you,” she narrated. Melai agreed with Karla, and added that it is best to advise children to travel light. Melai underlined that it is a must to remind kids to be answerable for their belongings, let alone accountable if ever something that belongs to them gets lost, “Hayaan mo na ‘yun. Eh ikaw ‘yung nagdala nun eh.” The hosts also reminded other mothers to make sure that they themselves are comfortable, so that they can properly tend to the needs of their children.
It’s time to shop! The momshies went to a store that sells cute and colorful swimwear for women. While looking around, Karla came across a two-piece suit that she thought would fit Kathryn perfectly. The host liked it so much that she decided to buy it for her son’s girlfriend. Jolina was able to find cover up pants that would be perfect while walking around the area, and it was something that fits her shy personality. They also gave inspiring words to other mothers, including women in general, to not be insecure with their bodies. “’Wag kayong mag-alala, kasi dapat confidently beautiful dalhin ‘yung sarili ninyo. Nobody’s perfect.” Melai stressed. Karla also gave advice to all the plus-sized women out there and said, “’Wag mong iisipin kung anong sasabihin ng ibang tao. Kasi ‘yun ‘yung pipigil ng enjoyment mo.”
They then headed to a souvenir shop, where Theresa Prado, a Malay Boracay vendor, sold all kinds of accessories. The momshies were so amused with all of the products, that Melai couldn’t help but try her own luck in making a necklace. She surprisingly was able to finish one made out of puka shells and tried it on Jolina. “Ang ganda, Momshie Jols, ang ganda! Bayaran mo ako,” Melai teased.
Their last stop was a restaurant called Bama Grill, which is part-owned by It’s Showtime GT member Mica Javier, who is the fiancé of RnB singer Jay-R. The hosts had a chance to visit Bama grill with the singer a couple of years back, and hung out at the place for a reunion. The momshies pointed out they had a lot of fond memories in this particular area, where Karla recalled, slipped by the door. “Pero thanks sa bouncy kong pwet, walang nasaktan,” she jokingly said. They were assisted by Chef Manrcik Tejada, who taught them how to cook Kinilaw na Tanigue. The dish consists of Tanigue, Vinegar, Salt, Pepper, Onion, Ginger, Chili Pepper, Bell Pepper and Chili Finger. To cook, you just have to mix all ingredients together and let it settle for a while. Yep, it’s a simple as that! When all was ready to serve, the momshies along with Jhai Ho, Kaladkaren and Jordan, gathered for dinner time and were ready to dig in the food.
During chow time, the MB momshies were asked what were their most memorable experiences are in the 3 years that they’ve been on the show. Jolina pointed out that she’ll never forget the time when they first went on air live, “Nung nag-first time tayong mag-live-live, ‘d iba para tayong tarantang magtanong.” Melai recounted that they were so nervous that their anxieties were something that they would carry on the whole night. “Hanggang bahay ‘yung kaba naming ‘pag isasalang na kami,” she said. However, Karla said they started to eased up when her son Daniel and Kathryn guested on the show, because they felt that the loveteam’s fans supported thmn.
The momshies also expressed how much they appreciate it when their fans tell them how much they love the show and what they do. Karla also said “At saka ‘yung ‘momshies’ talaga ay ginamit ng nakaramihan”. They also added that they are also looking forward to more adventures, memories, success and even babies in the future!
