No one is immune from the stumbling blocks of life, it is ubiquitous reality that we all have to face and put up with. Another reality is, that when it comes to the matters of the heart, it takes a significant amount of strength to sally forth and heal. However, Elisse Josson, Chienna Filomeno and Kisses Delavin proved that when faced with these trials, one can still overcome such agonizing ordeals and move on. The three Kapamiya stars shared their own experiences with Magandang Buhay hosts Melai Cantiveros, Karla Estrada and Jolina Magdangal, on how they coped with tough times and even heartbreak.
On her Magandang Buhay’s May 23 guesting, teen idol Kisses spoke about those days when she struggled in showbiz and wanted to quit. The Playhouse star revealed that back in 2017, she was seriously considering leaving the entertainment industry for good. The PBB Lucky Season 7 alumna admitted, that dealing with bashers on social media also took its toll on her. “Tao lang po talaga tayo eh. Kahit sabihin nating tough tayo, kahit sabihin maraming naniniwala sa atin, minsan mararamdaman mo ‘yung words na magpi-pierce through your heart,” she said frankly.
When asked how she remains strong, Kisses clarified that her parents are the strong ones and not her; and added that God is the One who strengthens her through her parents. She even reiterated to the MB momshies the advice that her father gave her once. “’Wag daw akong masyadong magre-rely sa kanila kasi kahit sino raw pwedeng mawala. Sabi niya, kailangan daw maging strong ako,” she said, almost bursting into tears.
