Alex Gonzaga and Mikee Morada happily revealed on Sunday, January 17, that they have tied the knot, starting their journey to forever as husband and wife.
In the vlog “We’re Married,” Alex appeared with Mikee sitting side by side, as the host-comedienne answered netizens questions on when they would get married. To everyone’s surprise, she responded, “Kasal na po kami!” showing photos of their recent wedding, as they brandished their wedding rings. “Isa na po akong maybahay, at isa na po akong wife!,” she further said.
She disclosed having walked the aisle with Mikee in November last year at their residence. She apologized to her followers for not sharing her momentous life event right away since they just wanted to celebrate it with immediate family and close friends first, as we continue to deal with the pandemic.
“Happily married na kami guys. Grabe, ang saya!” Alex declared. “Finally nakakatabi ko na siya matulog.”
Alex thanked their families for being very supportive of their marriage, and thanked all the individuals and suppliers for making their simple, solemn wedding an unforgettable success.
Alex then reminisced those times she had been making “requests to the Lord (na) akala ko ‘di mabibigay…pero you just have wait for God’s perfect timing, ibibigay Niya kung ano ang inirequest mo, eksakto.”
Alex then explained their special setup as husband and wife since they don’t get together most of the time during the week, and only share time as a couple during weekends, due to their work. “But yes, we are married and happy!,” she said.
They would then show clips of the actual wedding itself.
Years back, Alex revealed in an interview with Tonight with Boy Abunda about how healthy this relationship has been for her.

“We let each other do our thing,” is where she thinks their partnership is. When asked about marriage then, the couple wanted to make sure that they have done everything they wanted to. “Individually, we are whole. We are happy,” only then can they join in union. This is why she believes that it should be “sooner but not later”.
When asked what Mikee’s best quality, Alex did not think twice to say, “He’s like my dad.” He is family orientated and don’t drink. “Pa-involve din siya,” she shared. He is not the type to meddle in other people’s business, but he wants to be in the know.
Speaking of being a family man, “I became closer to my family because of Mikee,” she admitted. He is always there to remind her to be appreciative and would even say sometimes, “Kung wala ang mommy at daddy mo, wala ka.” And that is because this is how he treats his own family, “Finally I found a man who can understand ‘yung dynamics namin as a family kasi ganoon din naman siya.”
Looking at their photo together, Alex confessed out loud that she feels lucky to have him in her life. “Pero suwerte din siya sa’kin,” she had to add.

They also appeared on Magandang Buhay to talk about their much-awaited wedding. In the interview, she said she used to be someone who could easily end a relationship if she did not get her way. But with Mikee, she willingly adjusts for him, something that she realized from big sister Toni’s marriage.
“Kailangan talagang mag-adjust at mag-compromise, na hindi lahat ng gusto mo kailangan makuha mo,” Alex learned. Toni also chimed in that Mikee is different from all the other guys Alex has been with. “Lahat may comment ako na hindi maganda,”
Toni admitted. She was never sure nor confident about Alex’s previous partner. But with Mikee, it did not take long for her to see that he could be the one. “Nakita ko ‘yung change of attitude ni Alex when it comes to handling relationships,” Toni explained.
