Film director, writer, actor, and Pinoy Big Brother alumnus Fifth Solomon has already reached big career milestones as he was given huge opportunities for the craft he loves to do and is most passionate about. And one of the people who has always believed in him is his very good friend, comedy actress and host Alex Gonzaga, who he regards as his “happy pill”.
In his most recent guesting in Magandang Buhay, he shared that he actually has very few friends, describing himself as an introvert. That’s why he’s very happy to have found a sister or a family in Alex.

As a matter of fact, he was present in Alex’s wedding with her husband Mikee Morada, which he shared was really intimate as only her family and a very few friends, as well as the groom’s family were present during the ceremony. He added how truly happy he is for her hopeless romantic friend because she has finally achieved a happy ending in her very own love story through Mikee.
After meeting for the first time inside the Big Brother house -- where Alex became a resident house guest during the All-in edition, while Fifth was one of the housemates along with his twin brother Fourth -- their friendship has indeed already come a long way. They went through a lot of ups and downs with each other by their side, as well as went on trips and did some projects together, including the 2018 film “Nakalimutan Ko Nang Kalimutan Ka” that she starred in and served as his directorial debut.
Prior to that, the besties talked about their friendship in an episode of Magandang Buhay in 2018, wherein they recalled one of the funny moments they had together. In order to support his studies in Australia, Fifth imparted that he had to work as a waiter there that required him to prepare coffee. Since he’s only used to adding hot water to his preferred instant coffee mix, that’s what he told his employer then. This anecdote, along with the plethora of stories he told them, makes it hard for Alex to help herself from making fun of him.
While others probably perceive their friendship as all sunshine and rainbows, Fifth also shared that Alex actually has always been there for him during times he needed someone to listen to his problems.

“Kapag may mga problems, magaling siyang adviser talaga, si Alex. Sobra. Magbibigay siya ng mga memory verse tapos bumalik ako sa pagbabasa ng Bible dahil sa kanya. Natuto akong mag-fasting saka diet dahil sa kanya. Kapag nagkaroon ako ng mga issue o problem, nag-uusap lang kami sa phone tapos nagbibigay siya ng mga advice,” he related.
On the other hand, Alex shared that she considers Fifth as her younger brother. Thus, she would always make sure to be there to guide him especially since his parents aren’t living with him. At the same time, when she sees that he has already improved and matured, she becomes genuinely very proud of him. Even her sister Toni has also the same amount of concern for Fifth.
In the press conference of “Nakalimutan Ko Nang Kalimutan Ka,” the two disclosed that their personalities clicked right away because they have the same humor and there are no pretensions whenever they’re together. There were actually several vlogs in Alex’s YouTube channel where she was with Fifth. Probably, their most popular and most-viewed vlog was the “Mag-jowa for 24hours” (sic), a challenge where they acted as a couple for a day.
Besides, he was also present in some of the travel vlogs of Alex, which includes their trips in Thailand, Taiwan, USA, and even in Baguio City and a local horror house.
