From being two barrio lasses who used to dream of giving their families a better and comfortable life, and, at the same time, fulfill their ambition of breaking into the local entertainment scene through joining Pinoy Big Brother, proud Bisaya Kim Chiu and Melai Cantiveros went on to become two of the most popular television personalities we have at present.

And now, they’re among the hosts of the reality show where their careers have started. Yet, what some might not realize is that their bond actually runs much deeper behind the camera.

Avid Kapamilya fans know all too well that both of them are Big Winners of their respective seasons. Kim claimed 2006’s first-ever Teen Edition, while Melai won four years later in the Double Up installment. Aside from sharing the same way they debuted into the entertainment industry, their fans also admire them for their admirable attitude and sunny disposition. Thus, there’s definitely no wonder they became close friends.

The Chinita Princess personally wrote a lengthy birthday dedication for her in Bisaya on Instagram to commemorate their friendship. Besides, she’s also among those special people in her life who delivered their heartwarming messages to Melai during her birthday celebration in Magandang Buhay.

“Natutuwa ako na nagbibisaya tayo sa dressing room,” Kim started off. She then talked about being proud of where Melai is in life and particularly recalled the celebrator’s emotional homecoming. “Ikaw na talaga ang reyna ng General Santos City,” Kim declared and continued to wish the momshie-host to stay happy and that she may receive only the best the universe has to offer. Speaking of receiving only the best, she also mentioned highly anticipating a baby number three which she wished will be named Scarlet. “Stay mabait at magandang kaibigan,” Kim ended in Bisaya.
