“I did not look for love, but instead love found me and brought me back to him. I am grateful to be your other half my love. I love you, [Nicole].”
Makisig Morales wrote this in the caption of one of his posts on Instagram dedicated to his gorgeous and gracious Filipina-Australian wife Nicole Joson. He first introduced Nicole to the public during their guesting together on Magandang Buhay along with other celebrity couples.
During that interview, they were asked by the momshie-hosts regarding their married life, the issues they have to confront, and the secret behind their strong relationship.
As for the young couple, Makisig highlighted the importance of communication, honesty, and keeping God in the center of their relationship as the main keys to their young yet strong marriage.
Arguably, many of you are still wondering how their blissful love story began and the couple willingly talked about it for the first time on television during their guesting in Umagang Kay Ganda last February.
Nicole revealed that they met through a mutual friend in 2018 – when Makisig went back here in the Philippines for the filming of the fantasy-action series Bagani while she was taking her two-year holiday – who introduced them during a gathering. They later on went to watch a basketball game together, and sparks incessantly flew between them since then.
They got engaged in September 2018 and exchanged vows four months after in an intimate beach wedding in La Perouse, Sydney, Australia. They’ve been married for a year now and are also running a home business in the said country.
Makisig, as we all know, started his showbiz career as a child star after joining the 2005 reality singing contest Little Big Star and headlining the kiddie fantaserye Super Inggo in 2006. Meanwhile, Nicole was hailed as Miss Earth Australia Charity 2017 and the New South Wales finalist for Miss World Australia 2017, and also works as a model.
Stay in love, Makisig and Nicole!
