Ivana Alawi has fascinated us to no end with her spectacular visuals and captivating allure. But what really strikes us the most about this scorching star is her loving, endearing relationship with her family.

We’ve witnessed this in her vlogs, with members of her family participating actively in each rollicking and raucous scene—from doing ordinary household chores to funny pranks.

But one family member is most noticeable and intimate with our lovable temptress—her mother Fatima, who seems to be a constant figure in whatever thing she does.

Actually, mommy Fatima has always been by her side through thick and thin—from her triumphant moments to the lowest points in her life.

She was her hope, strength, and inspiration all throughout, especially during the most difficult moments she experienced growing up in Bahrain until they settled in the Philippines to start a new life, as Ivana revealed in an interview on Magandang Buhay.

In return, Ivana would fight for her mom, and even helped make both ends meet for her family during their most difficult time. It came to a point they would only eat rice with soy sauce.

One way for Ivana to help her struggling family was to become a commercial model and an auditionee in different reality talent contests, including Pinoy Big Brother, in the hope of getting discovered. But all these went for naught and Ivana thought of giving up.

At that time, her younger sister Mona was already active in showbiz and had appeared in TV dramas. She thought maybe the limelight was only meant for her sister. Ivana also considered going back to the field she was trained to pursue—culinary and pastry arts—and go back to school. 

But still, mommy Fatima believed in her “potential” as a big name artist and contacted several talent managers sending them her full body photos. And luckily, one of them, Perry Lansigan, got interested and immediately wanted a go-see.  When Perry indicated interest, Ivana directly told him she wanted to do sexy roles, which he said was something they were looking for. This paved the way for her first-ever casting in Precious Hearts Romances Presents Araw Gabi as Rina, the domineering officemate of Barbie Imperial’s Mich.

And when she got the role, Ivana was so overjoyed since she said it was her dream to become a Kapamilya. And Mommy Fatima would only respond” “Oh ano, sabi ko sa ‘yo!”

Since then, Ivana appeared as a sexy seductress in other teleseryes from FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano to be among the main cast members of Sino Ang Maysala: Mea Culpa.  Her career is now in full swing, especially with her first lead title role in Ang Lihim Ni Ligaya as an exclusive ABS-CBN contract artist, thanks to her beloved mom’s support.

With her rising, sensational popularity and with her mom’s influence considering all the hardships she experienced before, Ivana would show also show compassion for the unfortunate especially during the current COVID-19 crisis.
