It is said that finding true and lasting relationship in the grueling and complicated world of show business is impossible. But not for longtime celebrity couple Jerald Napoles and Kim Molina who have been happily in love with each other for 6 years now.
While their relationship has been really strong in the past years, it further solidified when the pandemic struck as they agreed to live under one roof, along with Kim’s nanny and Jerald’s mother. In their Magandang Buhay guesting last year, they disclosed that doing so has not only provided security for both of them, but it has also helped them get to know each other more.
Thus, even though our current situation has many devastating and negative effects to a lot of people, they choose to look at the brighter side of it, imparting how this has made them closer by being more open and honest to one another, being more tightly bonded with their families, and being more faithful to God.
But what could be the secret behind their solid relationship? They implied on that same interview that it’s exerting efforts in order to make the other one happy or kilig, having constant and honest communication, refraining to end the day without mending their misunderstandings, having the willingness to make adjustments, and being able to support and share something significant to one another.
Besides, they also make sure to give each other “alone time” despite already living together, since both of them have been used to living all by themselves almost their whole lives – Jerald is an only child, while Kim started to become independent at an early age.
Furthermore, they know how to balance their time and share the same interests, too, as the on-and-off-screen sweethearts divulged that they follow a certain schedule when it comes to working, studying scriptwriting online, brainstorming for their vlog contents, and doing their personal stuff.
When asked for her message for the 38-year-old actor, Kim uttered, “I’ll always be here for you, you know that. And I’ll always be your cheerleader. And kung ano man ang mga napagdaanan natin ay burado na dahil ako, I’m very happy sa estado ng relasyon natin ngayon at ‘di ko inakala na ganyan ka palang mag-alaga hindi lang para sa akin kundi para sa pamilya ko. Grabe ‘yong respeto mo sa magulang ko kaya nagpapasalamat ako sa’yo,”
Jerald retorted by expressing his gratitude towards her girlfriend, who he first met and worked together with in the popular musical theater play “Rak of Aegis” many years ago.
“Salamat sa pagkupkop sa akin [dahil] nakikitira lang ako sa kanya, una sa lahat. Maraming salamat sa pang-unawa at sa support, at sa pagbabalanse mo sa akin bilang tao. Meron kaming usapan po, one time, bigla ko nalang sinabi sa kanya na ‘alam mo kung wala ka, kalat na kalat ako ngayon, sobra, lalo na ngayong pandemic’,” explaining how the 29-year-old actress has helped him cope during these trying times. “Maraming salamat and I will cherish that because you are that person.”
