MB Podcast Senior High stars

After graduating from their latest teleserye stint, Andrea Brillantes and co-stars are ready to share their experiences and lessons learned from “Senior High.”

The bold soul of the class, Andrea, took a big leap playing as twin characters Sky and Luna in the series. The twins resonated with her in many ways, hence portraying them was like a cathartic experience. Know which part of her is the feisty Sky, and which part is the sweet and bubbly Luna in the podcast.

Andrea’s ‘classmates’ Daniela Stranner, Xyriel Manabat, and Gela Atayde likewise embraced their time as Northford High students. Daniela, although scared to take on her first kontrabida role, is surprised that playing the villain was actually fun and she’s glad to have explored this side of acting.

Speaking of new territories, Gela is happy about her transition from hip-hop to teleserye, making her realize the amount of passion she has for acting.

Meanwhile, Xyriel is no stranger to the sweet and salty parts of acting, having started young in the industry. But, this time, she’s reinvented herself by taking on fiercer scenes such as her ‘on-screen kiss’ with Elijah Canlas, which wasn’t entirely a comfortable step, as she’s in a relationship with a non-showbiz guy.
Boys at the back! The conversation was equal parts interesting and funny when the male members of the class – Kyle Echarri, Zaijan Jaranilla, Miggy Jimenez, and Tommy Alejandrino – reflected on their “Senior High” journey.

The boys take pride in their project’s tough move to discuss the realities of the youth today, dissecting topics that are often talked about in hushed voices from mental health to bullying, grooming, abuse, harassment, and so on.

Zaijian and Miggy are glad to play a part in authentically representing the LGBTQ community. In turn, viewers adored their on-screen BL tandem dubbed as TimPoch.

For Kyle, there were lessons to be learned from his character, Obet, specifically the benefits and drawbacks of excessive selflessness. As for Tommy, the set was akin to a real classroom, and as a transferee from the indie film industry, he’s glad to have been warmly welcomed by his new classmates.

As graduation marks both an end and a beginning, these young stars are set to make a fresh start from hereon. Find out which eras of their lives they wish to graduate from – from leaving procrastination behind to bidding ‘pagpupuyat’ adieu and getting rid of their people-pleasing behavior.
