Moira Dela Torre is experiencing another shift in her life’s narrative, this time, parallel to her own ‘hugot’ songs that speak of heartbreak – but which eventually end in surrender.
In this episode of Magandang Buhay The Podcast, Moira opens up on the status of her heart days after news about her breakup with Jason Hernandez broke the internet.
“Dati, akala ko ‘yung ‘Paubaya’ kanta ko lang, eh,” she smiled, maybe at the thought of life imitating art. She talked about questions and self-doubt, “Especially now, saan ba ako nagkulang?”
But through this period of uncertainty, despite asking and blaming herself at one point, she has found beauty in God and her friend’s comforting presence. Hope is in her heart and soul, so much that she only chooses to talk about what good lies ahead.
“I may feel like broken glass right now but God can make me a diamond again. I know I’ll be whole again. I know he’ll be whole again. Mag-fail man lahat sa buhay ko, I know God never will,” she said.
Even in her lowest moments, she believes good things still exist including love, especially love. She’s turning to her faith and solid support system like her newfound family – her Idol Philippines co-judges Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, Chito Miranda, and host Robi Domingo.
The new season of Idol Philippines is home to Moira, and he co-mentors are her family. In the episode, Moira and Regine spilled on ‘who’s who’ among the group. And apart from the fun revelations, we couldn’t help but smile at Moira laughing through the hurt.
No matter what season she’s in, Moira only hopes for better things ahead. Borrowing a line from the Bible, she expressed certainty that whatever the enemy intended for her bad, God can turn into something good, and that He makes all things beautiful in His time.
Listen to this episode of Magandang Buhay The Podcast hosted by Regine Velasquez, Jolina Magdangal, and Melai Cantiveros to get inspired by Moira’s beautiful strength, especially if you’re in a place of brokenness as her.
