Sharon Cuneta may be a star of gigantic magnitude - a showbiz icon - but behind the cameras, she's simply a wife, mother, and friend. Joined by Jackie Lou Blanco and Julia Montes in this Magandang Buhay episode, the Megastar shares her real stories filled with anecdotes, laughter, and happy tears.
A mother’s love is selfless and unconditional, and it’s reflected through Sharon’s relationship with her kids. Calling herself an “obsessively loving” mom, she will think of her children’s welfare first and foremost.
The Megastar loves to talk about her kids. Though she would describe KC Concepcion, her eldest, as her polar opposite, nothing can change the love she has for her. Sharon is proud to have taught KC hard work and independence and that “you don’t need a man to thrive.” But she also wishes her ‘panganay’ finds true love. Sharon said she misses those days when it was just the two of them.
She went on to describe her relationship with Frankie, Miel, and Miguel and how great her love is for them that she will accept them no matter their choices. She expressed support for Miel, who came out as queer, emphasizing that gender preference is not a measure of one’s character. What’s more important is that Miel has a good heart.
On Frankie, or Kakie, the doting mom said they’re alike in many ways and that Kakie is an independent, mature young woman. Miguel is the sweetest and his love language is acts of service. She loved Miguel even before she saw his face, adopting him when he was just one day old.
Sharon also revealed that she and her husband Kiko Pangilinan almost broke up last year, further admitting that it wasn’t the first time they almost ended. Thankfully, their LQs are easily resolved. And after the ‘tampuhan’ comes Kiko’s sweet gestures like giving Sharon flowers and love letters.
In the next segment, we had a glimpse of Sharon’s relationship with her colleagues. Jackie Lou was called in to share how they reconnected. If there’s one lesson they’re picking up from their friendship, it would be to treasure the moments because tomorrow is never promised. Sharon regrets that she “lost many time” with her good friend Cherie Gil, who passed away in August 2022. She still cries about Cherie, thus she promised herself to make the most of her time with Jackie Lou. Their daughters Frankie and Ara also formed a lovely bond.
And what happens when old friends get together? ‘Bukingan’ time! It was revealed that Jackie Lou dated Martin Nievera and that Sharon was jealous of Jackie Lou. Find out more secrets in the podcast!

Sharon admitted that Julia is her most beloved young star.
