They say that laughter keeps people together. However, friendship doesn’t thrive on fun times alone. It also requires work, patience, and commitment.

In this episode of Magandang Buhay The Podcast, Beks Battalion, composed of comedians Lassy, Chad Kinis, and MC Muah, shares how they cultivated a friendship where there’s growing together despite circumstances.

“Pwede mag-away pero bawal maghiwalay,” is the mantra that kept them solid through the years. They have occasional fights as in any normal friendship but they learned how to value their relationship over ego.

For instance, MC and Chad had a misunderstanding that sprouted huge drama. One of them blocked the other on his phone and social media accounts then left the Beks Battalion house for days. Such a test of friendship would either draw you closer or break you apart. Thankfully, it only strengthened their bond and taught them to communicate and apologize right away. Besides their success as a group, they are proud of each other’s achievements such as Lassy being able to build his dream house. The squad imparted that they never hinder each other from building a life and career outside the group, certain that at the end of the day, they still have one other to come home to.
