More than a week after the premiere of their first-ever film together “Momshies! Ang Soul Mo’y Akin,” Jolina Magdangal and Melai Cantiveros graced the latest episode of Hotspot last Tuesday, June 8.
Their fun chikahan commenced with the Magandang Buhay momshie-hosts expressing their utmost gratitude to everyone who already watched it and for the positive feedbacks that they’ve been receiving.
Jolina seconded that by saying, “Yes, Mother’s Day gift talaga.
They then went on to talk about their respective roles. Jolina is the famous vlogger Jolene, who doesn’t only strive for fame, but for a happy lovelife as well, while Melai is her ultimate fan Mylene, a security guard who works hard for her family and dreams of becoming a vlogger like her idol, too.
As they talked about their most unforgettable scenes in the movie, host DJ Jha Ho couldn’t help but share how thrilled he is to be able to work with pop icon Jolina and recalled some of the fanboy things he did for her.
“Dreams really do come true,” he started off.
Then he added, “Nasabi ko talaga na, ‘ah, pwede pala talaga mangyari ‘yong gano’n’.
DJ Jhai Ho and Momshie Melai’s compliments toward her indeed made Momshie Jolina overly flattered, shy, and blush at the same time, so she both thanked them.
When asked who among the actors they would want to work with if ever they’ll be offered to do a romance flick, Melai’s list includes her ultimate crush Jericho Rosales, British actor Peter Gadiot, and her beloved husband Jason Francisco. Jolina, on the other hand, dreams of being paired with Piolo Pascual in an ala-Goblin love story and with Korean actors like Hyun Bin, Park Seo Joon, Kim Soo-hyun, and Lee Je-hoon since she’s an avid K-drama fan.
Meanwhile, when it comes to their idols or role models in showbiz, Melai once again mentioned her crush Jericho then his former loveteam partner Kristine Hermosa, as well as reel-to-real sweethearts Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. On the other hand, Jolina went for both veterans, such as Maricel Soriano, Vilma Santos, and Sharon Cuneta, and young ones like KathNiel.
They then proceeded on playing the “Who’s Most Likely” Challenge, wherein they had to answer DJ Jhai Ho’s questions as their characters Mylene and Jolene. The questions include, who’s most likely to be a famous celebrity, paranoid, insecure, not to take shower in a week, and the prettiest – which they all enthusiastically answered.
Since both of them have been in the industry for along time now, the host quizzed the Magandang Buhay momshies if there’s still something they still wanted to do or show the people with regards to their respective showbiz careers.
“Alam mo madami, Jhai, marami.
Melai, on the other hand, expressed her interest in becoming an action star or zombie in a horror movie. But both of them yearn to do a film again together with their fellow Magandang Buhay host Karla Estrada, who wasn’t able to join them that afternoon due to prior commitments.
