For far too long, the phrase “women belong in the kitchen” has been enforced by society’s gender stereotypes. They are the ones responsible for cleaning, cooking and taking care of children. And while many inspiring women have gone to break these molds, it seems they are not completely out of the kitchen just yet. One of the decisions they eventually have to make is choosing between being a parent or pursuing a career, as if you could only have one or other. Luckily, the fight for empowerment is not over. More and more supermoms are proving that the two are not mutually exclusive. Just ask Regine Angeles.
The actress gave birth to Viktor Alesso back in October 2017. This is her first child with husband Van Victor Leaño. Over a year later, the actress boasted on Magandang Buhay how hands-on she was in taking care of her baby boy. “Wala akong yaya,” she announced. From early morning to late at night, she does all the work for her little prince. But, where does young Alesso go when mom is at work? “Iniiwan ko sa in-laws ko at saka nasa husband,” she explained.

If you want proof, this gallery can help you. Music festivals are always fun which is why Regine brought Alesso with her. When the little man was taken to the doctors because of pneumonia, she spent many sleepless nights beside him. And when it is her who is not feeling well, it does not matter because she can soldier through anything for Alesso. She loves documenting every moment with her son so much that he already has his own Instagram account!
