It is finally Karla Estrada’s turn to celebrate her birthday this year on Magandang Buhay! Of course, the talk show went all out to make her big day extra special. So, they asked the help of the five most important people in her life to take a ride with the host.
While Melai Cantiveros and Jolina Magdangal were busy preparing for the big party, Momshie Karla finally had the chance to spend quality time with her children and favorite nephew. But since they did not want to be late for her co-hosts’ surprise, the little unit had to bond in the car for Magandang Buhay’s first ever carpool.
“Nakakapanibago,” Karla admitted to having Daniel Padilla behind the wheel. Beside the King of Hearts, situated on the passenger seat, was JC. Taking up the backseat was Carmela, Jordan, the guest of honor, and the day’s guest host Magui. Because she is turning 44, there were 44 questions prepared.
The interview started off on a fun and light note. Karla revealed that the last thing she thinks of before going to sleep are her children. On the other hand, the first thing she thinks of after waking up is coffee. Jordan shared that fried chicken is the Momshie Karla’s favorite food, and she agreed with her nephew. If her children were food, Magui is the chicken, Carmela would be the sinigang, JC is boiled egg, and DJ is the beef steak.
All this talk about food can work up an appetite. So, moving on, they then played a game of True of False. Although, Karla might have had trouble with this. She could not concentrate because of Daniel’s driving. “Pangkarera,” is how she described it.
They also talked about how happy they are as a family. Karla is proud that her children are just as opinionated and generous as she was. Except for JC who turned out to be meticulous when it comes to spending money. “Unorthodox,” is how Daniel would label their group. She also mentioned how thankful she was for having the chance to bond with her father Raymond Ford recently.
To close off the episode, they opened up about dreams like scuba diving as a family and plans for the future. More than anything, she just wants all of them to be happy together. Karla added how she learns so much from all the guests she meets on Magandang Buhay. The biggest lesson she has realized is to never judge a person, “paano kung ikaw ‘yung nasa position nila?”
It was such a unique experience for viewers to watch their family to just be themselves. Check out this gallery to see how natural and relaxed they were throughout the road trip!
