Young love, though believed to be immature and unstable, can be as real as it gets. Jenny and Jan Luis Dimayuga, the young married couple featured in the MMK episode “Choir” last June 29, showed how the love they share is true—ready for that journey to forever—regardless of their youth.
We first came to know Jenny and Jan Luis when they auditioned on Idol Philippines. Although they were not lucky enough to get a golden ticket as individual auditionees to the next rounds of the famed talent reality franchise, they won the judges and the audiences’ hearts because of their sweet and inspiring love story.

In this full interview with MMK host Charo Santos-Concio, Jenny and Jan Luis reveal how their love story started and what they are doing to make their marriage grow. Being young, they accept that it won’t be easy for them to build a family. Nevertheless, they also stress their determination to take the many responsibilities of being husband and wife.
Jenny tells us what she and Jan Luis have big dreams for their family. They hope their hard work would lead them to a family they aspire having: “Buo po kami, masaya… Makakapag-aral po ‘yong anak namin, may maganda po kaming trabaho.”
Meanwhile, Jan Luis also said that he and Jenny are still not giving up on their personal ambitions while working on building their family. He firmly says: “Kung mahal n’yo po ang isa’t isa, pwede naman po ipagpatuloy ‘yong mga pangarap kahit po may asawa na at anak.”
Indeed, young couples can learn a lot from these two. Watch Jenny and Jan Luis’s full interview with Ma’am Charo in this video.
