Madam Inutz reacts to Dawn Chang’s portrayal of her life story in MMK

Strong and a fighter, Madam Inutz is not one to dwell on the sad chapters in her past. But, compelled to reminisce for the sharing of her life story in a Maalaala Mo Kaya 2-part episode, she realized that it’s not that bad to review even the sad moments once in a while. After all, it’s in the challenging, dark times that we get to extract the most essential lessons.

“Nag-flashback lahat ng nangyari kay Madam Inutz. Napagdaanan ko pala itong hirap na ‘to pero andito pa rin si Madam Inutz na mas pinagtibay ng panahon, pinagtibay ng pagsubok talaga. Hindi ako makapaniwala simula pagkabata hanggan ngayon, nandito pa rin ako na mas matatag at syempre mas naniniwala pa sa sarili ko,” said Madam Inutz in this episode of Kapamilya Chat.

At first, the PBB Kumunity Season 10 housemate had apprehensions about sharing her life on MMK, scared that the past might open old wounds. However, she realized that viewers also deserve to learn and be inspired by her colorful story played by ex-housemate Dawn Chang.

Madam Inutz, or Daisy Lopez in real life, saw Dawn’s “palaban” side on their first virtual meeting and she instantly knew the actress would give justice to the role. Then she got more satisfied after watching the first part of the episode last Saturday, May 7.

“Sabi ko, ‘Ay! Parang ako!’ Talagang kuhang-kuha niya pati pagngiwi, pati ‘yung pag-arte. Napahanga ako talaga. Sabi ko, nakakatuwa,” Madam reacted to Dawn’s portrayal. If she’s to rate Dawn’s acting on a scale of 1 to 10, she would give her 11.

Besides the nuances, Madam Inutz specifically wanted Dawn to sketch how her onscreen persona Madam Inutz, the one who cusses loudly, differs from Daisy Lopez, the softhearted mom and daughter behind cameras. And she’s happy that Dawn made an effort to really establish the uniqueness of her two personas. She appreciates her hard work to dive deep on her past and thoughts.

With every challenge life throws her way, Madam Inutz only becomes stronger. But, admittedly, she also feels like giving up on some days. In those trying times, she‘d look at her mom and kids and be reminded that she’s doing it all for them.
