We were all astonished upon seeing the drastic physical transformation of seasoned actor RK Bagatsing in the “Tattoo” episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya aired last March 14.
He portrayed Jonathan “Totie” Casimiro, the man whose heroic deed of saving a security guard who suffered from heart attack while on duty by using his basic skills in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation went viral online in the previous weeks. The actor traded his debonair look to shabby clothes, skin head, and body laden with striking tattoos and piercings from head to toe in order to achieve the on-point depiction of him.
In an Instagram post, RK disclosed feeling nervous in doing the said episode because aside from the fact that it marked his first television comeback for 2020 and it’s MMK, Totie was also in the set to observe his every move and every line that he delivered. But at the same time, his presence also made him feel lighter as he never ceased in showing his support every time he looked at him and asked for his help.
He also divulged his realizations in portraying the character.
Iniintindi at niraramdam yun ng puso,” he wrote.
