A few months after she officially became a Kapamilya, award-winning actress Janine Gutierrez will star on her first-ever Maalaala Mo Kaya episode this coming Saturday, May 8, with none other than bankable and versatile actor JM de Guzman as her leading man.

As soon as the teaser for the upcoming episode was shown on all television and online channels of ABS-CBN, fans of both artists couldn’t help but be excited to see them together on-screen since this is going to be the first that they’ll be working and be paired with one another.

In her virtual guesting in Magandang Buhay on Thursday, May 6, the 31-year-old actress told the momshie-hosts that she had been actually looking forward to work with the Init Sa Magdamag lead actor and it now finally came true.

Tagged #LoveInLockdown, the much-awaited episode will chronicle the relatable love story of their characters, which got hampered and was eventually given a second chance during the ongoing lockdown. It’s helmed by seasoned director Nuel C. Naval.

While this marks Janine’s MMK debut, this is going to be the sixth MMK appearance of JM ever since he began his TV acting journey in the network in 2010. Among his most remarkable MMK stints were in the “Pasaporte” (his first), “Balot” (portraying Marcelito Pomoy), “Simcard” (opposite Nadine Samonte), and “Black Belt” (as Pinoy mixed martial arts champion Ramon "The Bicolano" Gonzales) episodes.
