Serving us kilig in the month of Feb-Ibig is Yen Santos and Enzo Pineda as they star in Maalaala Mo Kaya’s Valentine episode titled “Posas.” Set in the province of Isabela, hopeless romantic Karen (Yen Santos) was in dire search for her Mr. Right. Her parents’ successful marriage gave her hope that she’ll one day meet her own leading man a la John Lloyd Cruz. A series of heartaches and failed guy prospects, however, slowly crushed her faith in love.

Just as when Karen came to terms with her future as an old maid, handsome cop Jason (Enzo Pineda) unexpectedly came into her world. Jason never gave up until he managed to restore Karen’s belief in love. She let her walls down but only to end up getting her heart broken again due to inevitable relationship predicament.

Hurt and disappointed, Karen decided to cancel her wedding with Jason despite his explanation and pleas. The cop continued to pursue her, nonetheless, even to the point of standing under the rain overnight until he’s able to receive her forgiveness. Through the tests and her parents’ wisdom, Karen realized that love is not always smooth-sailing or perfect. Karen finally experienced the bliss of a fairy tale ending with Jason as they both promised to raise a happy home with their kids and surpass life’s challenges as a team.

Karen and Jason’s real love story seems to imitate on-screen romances. These photos of them and their growing family serve as receipts. One photo recorded Jason’s sweet surprise for his loving wife, with her holding a bouquet of flowers while balloons rained all over the place. Karen also wrote a cheesy caption on one image, saying she’s more than proud to stay by Jason’s side as he takes on every step to success.
