Since it’s the first time they’re teaming up in the small screen, it is just right to test whether Josh Colet and Heaven Peralejo got the chemistry via the Kapamilya Confession’s compatibility test. Among their common picks from the challenge are movie date, chocolate, coffee, and beach wedding. They have opposing choices from the other four categories, just fair enough. And while they weren’t able to garner a perfect score, Josh and Heaven still exude adorable chemistry evident on the way they comfortably sit beside each other, exchange jokes, and poke fun at one another’s bloopers.
It is their first time working together but doing kilig scenes didn’t come as a challenge. Josh and Heaven say that the key to a natural chemistry is getting to know the other person in a deeper level and just feeling comfortable around each other.
The new pair considers their Maalaala Mo Kaya experience as fulfilling and a dream come true, especially for Heaven whose acting bucket list includes a lead role in the longest-running drama anthology. All throughout their filming, Josh and Heaven’s goal was simply to deliver an entertaining piece for the viewers and perfectly execute Tin and Tantan’s real-life story. They also give props to the entire production team. An MMK first-timer, Josh admits that there was a bit of pressure but Director Denise O’Hara and the rest of the crew were very welcoming.
If given the chance to have their life stories featured on MMK, Josh would call his episode “What you won’t do for love” while Heaven’s is “Mommy’s Angel ng Makati,” her moniker on Pinoy Big Brother.
When asked about the craziest thing they did for love, the tandem couldn’t think of appropriate answers. Instead, Josh explains, “When you’re in love, there’s a lot of events na hindi mo ma-control so ‘yung love itself is crazy enough.” In the context of Tin and Tantan’s story, Heaven learned, “Kung ilang beses ka nagsabi ng ‘I love you’ dapat ganoon din karami ‘yung chances na ibibigay mo.”
