Iñigo serenades fans, shares proven IG hacks and trivia on MMK stint with Maris

Living independently in his condominium unit, Iñigo Pascual spends the long days of quarantine period learning how to be more domesticated – from prepping his own meals to cleaning up his room while, still, engaging in some millennial guy thing on the side.

Almost two months into the imposed lockdown all over Metro Manila, and other parts of Luzon, Iñigo already has a good amount of achievements unlocked, learning how to cook menudo, for one. The fast learner got easy and free cooking lessons from YouTube. Apart from experimenting in the kitchen, Iñigo likes to clean his room especially organizing the eyesores (such as wires and chargers), sweat it out with home workouts, do song covers catch up with friends via online mediums, and explore that latest craze called Tiktok which he says is a good venue to learn new dance steps.

Although, he has toned down the Tiktok usage in the past days because fellow Tiktokers have just gotten extremely competitive. And being the cool, laidback guy that he is, Iñigo doesn’t want to strain his efforts doing grand Tiktok entries anymore. He rather prefers joining his celebrity friends in live-from-home concerts and taking simple selfies for his followers’ delight.

Sharing his tried-and-tested Instagram hacks and selfie protocols, Iñigo points out the impact of natural lighting. If unavailable, household lights will still deliver good results as long as set in the right mood. Knowing your best angle makes a difference, too. Be mindful of your OOTDs. Iñigo is into minimalist vibes whether at home or going out. His wardrobe is consists of the staple white and black shirts, usually unprinted, and beanies or caps as accessories to save time from styling his wavy hair.

Posing for the cam depends on the person’s personality. The chill, easy-going Iñigo prefers taking snaps with his resting face while sitting around in the living room, “para hindi masyadong trying hard,” he says. The handsomely serious face we see on his Instagram posts isn’t automatically a reflection of a snob attitude. He simply feels uncomfortable with showing his teeth when taking selfies.

Just to spruce up the photo a bit, Inigo makes a few touches on the lighting and color. The photography app called VSCO is his go-to place for this. He doesn’t stick to a certain color palette, either, saying maintaining a curated Insta feed takes a lot of time and effort, “nakakapagod” as how he puts it.

Iñigo invites the viewers to catch the replay of Maalaala Mo Kaya “Love Team” episode, which he starred in alongside Maris Racal in 2017. The story followed the lives of Allan and Lou Ann, two high school sweethearts who got a second shot at love in college. Feelings came rushing in as they fell for the charms of a young campus romance. Things seemed well until Allan decided to move abroad for work, leaving Lou Ann’s heart crushed by distance and absence.

Looking back on that episode, Iñigo recalls having a fun time on the set with Maris. It was his second time working with director Mae Czarina Cruz-Alviar, the first one was in the KathNiel starrer, “Crazy Beautiful You.” Playing as Allan required him to load up with emotions and he’s grateful that Direk Mae guided him take by take.

In this time of quarantine period where young lovers are tested by distance, Iñigo assures that Allan and Lou Ann will bring inspiration and lessons about true love.

Before Allan and Lou Ann’s love story airs on our television screens, Iñigo brings us the feels with a virtual serenade of his singles “Catching Feelings” and “Dahil Sa’Yo.”
