It’s been a long time since the last time since she had a regular stint in a teleserye. Thus, we found it really exciting upon learning that Ruffa Gutierrez is going to be a part of the upcoming Kapamilya Gold romantic drama Love Thy Woman as among its main cast named Amanda del Mundo.

Those who have followed her showbiz journey definitely knew that she’s among the celebrities who kicked-off her career as one of the mainstays in the popular and long-running variety show That’s Entertainment. However, she’s been into acting prior to that as she already took part in a slew of movies in the 1980s.
She had her debut in ABS-CBN in 2007 through her stint in the television adaptation of the 1997 hit flick Kokey, playing one of the main roles named Trining Calugdan, the adoptive mother of the lead child protagonists who took care of the titular character.
A year after, she was tapped to portray the primary wicked villain Daniella Valencia in I Love Betty La Fea, the Filipino incarnation of the hit Colombian telenovela Yo soy Betty, la fea.
The 45-year-old actress then had guest appearances in sitcoms Toda Max and Home Sweetie Home in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
In 2015, Ruffa starred in her first-ever Wansapanataym narrative titled “Raprap’s Wrapper”, playing the the ostentatious and classy Connie who was compelled to do the duties of a mother after the titular character wished for her to be his mom’s replacement.
Her last teleserye appearance was in 2018 through her special participation in the Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto-starrer Ngayon at Kailanman as the socialite Loreta.
