She may have come off as tough and fierce just like most of the characters that she had portrayed in the films and teleseryes that she starred in, but Loisa Andalio actually is a softy when it comes to her family, with whom she’s been tightly bonded ever since she was just a kid.
And we’re able to see that through her interviews in ABS-CBN talk shows over the past years, wherein she couldn’t help but get emotional in some instances, especially everyt ime she opened up about the challenges they went through as a family.
Ardent supporters of Loisa surely knows that she’s the third among the four children of their parents, Leonardo and Sandie. She has two older brothers, Jhay and Louis, and a younger sister named Leona. Since her parents are now old and both Jhay and Louis already have families of their own, Loisa revealed in her “Magandang Buhay” interview in 2020 that it’s her who has been the main breadwinner of their family.
Thus, they have served as her inspirations in working hard and doing her best in every opportunity that is bestowed upon her. At the same time, they’re also among her sources of strength as she has always showed them that everything’s just fine even though it was very painful for her deep inside because she didn’t want them to be scared or get worried about her or any circumstance.
In an earlier appearance on the morning talk program that same year, Loisa related that if there’s one thing that she would regret about being in showbiz, it would be how it took a toll on the tight bond that their family used to have before she shot up to stardom. According to her, they were actually very close with one another as they would always eat together in every meal and bond over karaoke. But that gradually vanished when she started working after joining “Pinoy Big Brother All-In” in 2014.
“Very close kami ng family namin. And no’ng pumasok ako ng showbiz, nagkaroon ako ng trabaho, sunod-sunod na trabaho, akala ko naman okay ‘to kasi nakakatulong ako sa pamilya ko e. Pero nang tumagal-tagal, parang naglayo-layo na ang loob namin sa isa’t isa. Doon ko nasabi na parang kahit may trabaho ka, nabubuhay mo ‘yong pamilya mo, pero hindi kayo kumpleto sa bahay,” she said.
Momshie Sandie attested this during her “Magandang Buhay” guesting in 2017, wherein she instantly got emotional as she imparted that they only got to see Loisa every Saturday since her schedule that time was too hectic and she was staying in Quezon City while their family was residing in Parañaque City. But they were able to keep their bond, with Momshie Sandie describing Loisa as a sweet and thoughtful daughter, who honors and obeys her parents by entrusting them her earnings. She lets her parents manage her salary, which they make sure to put on savings and investments.
And in 2019, we’re able to see one of the actress’ fruits of labor as she gifted her family with their own house and lot, which they used to only dream of in 20 years of living with other people.
It was not only with her mother that Loisa has close-knit ties, but with her siblings and father as well. She actually appeared in an episode of “Magandang Buhay” in 2018 together with her Kuya Louis, wherein he talked about how a generous and selfless sister she actually is, as well as how close they are.
Meanwhile, in her appearance on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” in 2019, Loisa imparted one of her father’s advice for her regarding the issue that she was embroiled in at the time.
With how grueling the entertainment world can be, it’s indeed delighting to know that Loisa has a strong support system in her family, along with her longtime boyfriend and loveteam partner Ronnie Alonte and her friends.
