La Presa Chic in the City: ‘Forevermore’ stars take their characters’ styles to the city streets

Not only is Forevermore the highest rating show on Philippine primetime television today, it has also become pretty iconic in local pop culture, helping boost the tourism of La Presa in Tuba, Benguet, popularizing songs [Time Machine’s “Macy”], and even influencing style and hairstyles [many girls have been wanting to get curls a la Agnes and guys have been checking out if Xander’s highlights will look good on them]. The teleserye’s stars themselves have also carried over a bit of their characters’ styles to real life. Proof? These looks that they rocked off cam.

Liza Soberano

It may be too hot to layer in Manila, but Liza was still able to achieve the same relaxed vibe her La Presa look has with a pullover hoodie; replacing her work pants are leggings, and instead of boots, she opted for kicks with bright pops of color.

Enrique Gil

This look of Enrique follows the Xander style equation: Shirt + cool jacket + jeans, except that this time, he spiced things up with a denim pair in a more experimental wash.

Erich Gonzales

Erich (pictured here with boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga) makes effortless dressing look cool like her Forevermore character, Alex, in ripped jeans, a polo, and a tank top—the outfit is so practical and low maintenance, she can even sit on a tree branch worry free.

Diego Loyzaga

Time Machine’s main man, Jay Fernandez, has a no nonsense approach both when it comes to life and style. He’s pretty similar to Diego (pictured here with another member of the Forevermore cast, Yves Flores), who, besides being an actor, is also a MYX VJ—fashion-wise, statement shirts and jeans are their must-haves.

Sofia Andres

Dainty, posh, and always well put-together are what best describe the style of Sofia’s Forevermore alter ego, Kate Saavedra, while Sofia’s real life preferences lean towards more casual looks. This girly yet fuss free outfit strikes a balance between the two.

Joj Agpangan

Like her bubbly character in Forevermore whose personality shines through prints and colors, Joj spends a day out in a flowy brightly printed top (to beat the Manila heat, she trades jogging pants for shorts).

Jai Agpangan

The other half of the perky La Presa twins, Jai foregoes layering in sunny Manila, choosing to stick to her Forevermore look’s most basic piece, a comfy shirt.

Lilet

Always dressed to perfection in the teleserye as Xander’s mother, Bettina, Lilet (pictured here with Cornerstone Entertainment’s Erickson Raymundo) eases up on the makeup and jewels but still exudes the former’s distinguished aura in a red buttondown top with a classic handbag.
