You’d know tables turned when the bullied girl becomes a babe, ready to seek vengeance on the guy who crushed her poor little heart. That’s what happened when Magda became Lena (Erich Gonzales). She went out of her way to seduce Miguel (Kit Thomson) as part of a bigger scheme to punish the Narciso clan, shown in this Kapamilya Toplist from revenge-drama series La Vida Lena.
Lena moves fast to infiltrate the Narciso empire to make sure it collapses in no time. And there’s no better way to do that than manipulate two of its trusted attributes, Adrian (JC De Vera) and Miguel (Kit Thompson). While she easily succeeded with Adrian, who ended up crazily in love with her, Miguel is quite a challenge.
Miguel wants to be faithful to his wife Rachel (Sofia Andres) and he doesn’t think like a Narciso. He wants to forget playing with Lena’s heart and impregnating her. Sharing this bitter past isn’t a big help, thus Lena had to work from scratch to get Miguel’s trust.
Knowing her card well, Lena took advantage of Miguel and Adrian’s rivalry. She convinced Miguel to connive with her. The more Adrian falls for Lena, the more he destroys his relationship with his parents Lukas (Raymond Bagatsing) and Vanessa (Agot Isidro) until Miguel takes his spot in the company. Lena and Miguel made an alliance, although the latter remained cynical.
The plan worked as Adrian moved out of the Narciso mansion, choosing Lena over his family. The game continued. Lena made sure she gets Miguel’s sympathy. In a scene, she told her that he isn’t as evil as the Narcisos, hoping to boost his ego.
The femme fatale orchestrated surprises that meant more time spent together. Using her newfound mastery in seduction, Lena planned to get stranded with Miguel on an out-of-town business trip. The goal was to destroy his relationship with Rachel. She won a point when Rachel freaked out upon learning that her husband was in some distant place stuck with her long-time rival.
Before leaving the hotel, Miguel dropped by Lena’s room to discuss their deal. When Miguel took Rachel’s call, Lena talked loud to let her presence be known.
In the next scene, Lena loved it when Miguel apologized on behalf of his family. He felt guilty that Lena’s house burned because of Lukas’ actions. Then Lena feigned drama, calling herself the poor victim of the Narciso clan. She pretended to look helpless because men love weak women, they say.
It didn’t end there as Lena moved into the same building where Miguel and Rachel live. It made it easier to ignite trouble, and Lena loves watching her enemies fight over her own drama.
