As the story gets more intense in everybody’s newest favorite primetime teleserye La Vida Lena, here’s a quick throwback to Erich Gonzales‘ first day on lock-in set.

La Vida Lena is a revenge-romance drama about a simple barrio girl named Magda, whose facial scar makes her a subject of ridicule, although it never devoured her determination to be a successful woman.  After a myriad of sufferings orchestrated by her biggest enemies, the Narciso clan, Magda transforms into Lena – braver, fiercer, and more beautiful.

So, we begin with Magda’s look. With Erich’s glass skin that mimics that of a Korean superstar, it would be difficult to create a big scar on her face. Putting on the prosthetics takes a lot of time, patience, and love for the job. You need to check out the actress’ vlog to see the first of the many intricate procedures for Magda’s character. 

Erich then brought us to her virtual script reading with the cast and creatives. She was in her hotel room. “This is Day 1. Ganito po ang preparation namin. Nagre-ready na kami, binabasa na po namin ‘yung mga lines namin para pagdating sa taping, sa set, smooth na lahat,” shared the Star Circle Quest alum. 

Then, the swab test! “Masakit? Hay, Ginoo! [Oh, God!]” The video cut to Erich getting her hair done by her resident stylist. The Kapamilya actress said she learned how to DIY her hair color due to lockdown.  

The ABS-CBN star ended the vlog with a quick tour of her taping room. She brought her coffee machine, microwave, and mini refrigerator. Food is life!

In the recent episodes of La Vida Lena, tough girl Magda suffers the darkest seasons in her life as she loses her Lolo Dado (Soliman Cruz) and serves time due to the Narcisos’ wickedness. But, as they say, pain makes a woman stronger, and in Magda’s case, bitter and thirsty for revenge.
