Who would have thought that an innocent little boy would evolve into a brave savior of mankind?
When he was still a kid, Tristan (Daniel Padilla) used to be mischievous yet loving to his family. As he enjoyed so much playing with his friends outdoors and catching spiders that he would sell in order to earn to be able to buy a new cane for his father Tonio (Romnick Sarmenta), he was often reprimanded.
Despite their love-hate relationship, they were still able to bond once, in which Tonio taught him basic fighting skills and strengthened his confidence. Little did little Tristan knew that it would be the last time he would have a heart-to-heart talk with his dad as he got killed by one of Sandrino’s (Richard Gutierrez) minions during their terrifying attack.
This left Tristan and his younger sister Apple (Maymay Entrata) totally orphaned. However, his three aunts on the mother side took him to Manila to live a new life. Here, he grew up becoming a streetwise, jokey, and heroic jeepney driver who also had side gigs for him to immediately save for the eye operation of his Lolo Gabriel (Noel Trinidad).
During his spare time, he spend it by researching about werewolves and vampires. He joined the Moonchasers, the vigilante group that protects humans against vampires. It was through their secret missions that he met Malia (Kathryn Bernardo), the New Chosen One who was also doing surveillance to help La Liga Unida in knowing the heinous schemes of Sandrino. They later found out that they have the same goals, thus they forged alliances. Since then, they faced the wicked vampires as joint forces.
Tristan underwent a lot of challenges and sufferings in this relentless battle, including his near-death scuffles with Supremo and its nerve-wracking impact to his family. However, a drastic change ensued when it was discovered that they are related by blood and are both sons of the former chief vampire Magnus Imperial (Jake Roxas).
At first, he and Malia wouldn’t believe, until the cursed markings surfaced on our hero’s skin. He is indeed the one being described as the powerful vampire who would battle it out with the New Chosen One. They used this to bait Sandrino and persuaded him to change, but he only got more furious.
This led to the intense battle wherein Supremo successfully transformed Tristan into a vampire and forced Jacintha (Angel Locsin) to stab the young man to death. However, Sandrino was able to resuscitate him and hailed him to be the Imperator, the newest king of their world.
Unbeknownst to Sandrino, conniving with him is just one his great plans to easily defeat him. He is still the same old Tristan who values his family so much and loves Malia with all his heart.
His evil brother was able to discover his secret and ruthlessly fought against him and acquired his powers.
Supremo’s clone forced him to kill Malia by baiting his friends from Moonchasers and his family, which he did not heed to. In the recent episodes, he let Tristan choose between his grandparents and the New Chosen One, but still opted the welfare of mankind.
Will he, Malia, and their allies be able to conquer the cruel clutch of Sandrino and make kindness dominate the world? Let’s find out in the remaining nights of La Luna Sangre.
