Vampires killed his father when he was still a child, thus he vowed to annihilate them when he grew up by gaining enough skills and strength. However, fate has really its way of surprising us because later on, it was revealed that he is actually part vampire.
Tristan Torralba’s (Daniel Padilla) journey towards unraveling his real identity was indeed taxing, risky and gruesome. Initially, he was fighting against Sandrino’s (Richard Gutierrez) clutches and got abducted a number of times while leading the missions of the young vigilante group Moonchasers.
During one of their face-offs, he confessed the real reason behind his intense fury against the evil vampires to Supremo. Nevertheless, Sandrino still kept on persuading him to be a part of them, or else he would kill the love of his life.
But the prophecies of oracle Jethro (Dino Imperial) and fortune-teller Madam Starr, and the premonition Malia (Kathryn Bernardo) and Jacintha (Angel Locsin) saw indicate that he has a different path. He would be a nemesis to the new Chosen One.
These pushed the Moonchasers and La Liga Unida to always keep an eye on Tristan and hide him from the Supremo. This, of course irritated him, but Malia reiterated that he is their responsibility. It’s not only because of the prophesy, but he’s important for them as well.
As time went by, the signs gradually emerged. At first, he had vaguely remembered a baby while inside a womb and a pregnant woman talking to a man who was singing a Visayan lullaby.
This blurry memory became vivid during one of his confrontations with Sandrino. The woman was his mother Rica Sison (Tanya Garcia) while the man was Supremo. Subsequently, the cursed ink surfaced on Tristan’s arm.
Although it was hard for our hero to accept the truth about his real identity, he used this as an opportunity to influence his brother to change, and to help his squad as well to suppress the blood-sucking beings.
And the biggest clash between the main villain and the trio of Jacintha, Malia, and Tristan took place, which resulted to a mind-blowing and tragic end. As Sandrino tried to transform him into a horrible vampire, the Lady in Red immediately struck him with a dagger made of poisonous first wolf’s fangs which led to his death.
Just when Malia and allies thought that he is already dead, Supremo resurrected him, but as a vampire. Since he is more powerful than he is, Tristan is now hailed as the Imperator.
However, unbeknownst to his brother, Tristan has not changed. He still protects humankind and a loyal lover to Malia.
