Together with actress-comedian Pokwang and UST alumnus, comedian-host John "Sweet" Lapus, Kris Aquino bonded with selected University of Sto. Tomas students at the usual hang-out spots around the vicinity of the school.
During the recent USTv Gabi ng Parangal held last February 20, Kris promised to bring two of their students on a food trip. Thus, Engineering student Lawrence Manahan and Speech and Language Pathology student Jessi Cabingan joined Kris and her guest hosts on this episode of Kris TV.
Their first stop was the Heaven's Touch Cuisine where they also got to know the sons of the store manager, who are also students. Heaven's Touch Cuisine, which has been in operation for 8 years, offers a variety of meals at affordable prices. As a well-loved canteen, graduation pictures of the students who patronized their store throughout the years are posted on its walls.
Next, they went to Mang Tootz, another well-loved eatery of the students along Padre Noval Street. Owner Tootz Vergara demonstarted how to cook their signature dish, a caramelized turon referred to as the banana-rama. Mang Tootz also said that successful graduates can come back and get treats from him.
Lastly, Kris, Pokwang and John "Sweet" Lapus went to the Lopez Canteen where they got to bond with two more Tomasians.
Don’t miss the continuation of Kris TV’s bonding with the UST students tomorrow (March 4). Catch Kris TV, 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM after Umagang Kay Ganda on ABS-CBN.
