They were welcomed by MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino, who said that they are temporarily operating and accommodating passengers for free. The Pasig River Bus Ferry’s typical route is from Plaza Mexico in Intramuros to Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City. The hosts then rode the ferry at Plaza Mexico where there is a display explaining the history of the famous river. They will be dropped off at Guadalupe Station in Makati City.
According to Chairman Tolentino, each ferry has a capacity of 34 passengers and that they will soon launch a Pasig River Ferry App where people can check on their scheduled routes. He also said that operating ferries in the Pasig River actually helps the environment as it gives oxygen to marine life.
Because of their ferry ride, Carmina and Kris specifically wanted to help in cleaning the riverbanks. They also passed through historical establishments and landmarks that Kris even acknowledged that she is learning.
The ferry also stopped to get more passengers at the PUP station and loaded student passengers that Kris interviewed.
According to Chairman Tolentino, they still operate during rainy days but automatically cancel the operation should there be Storm Signal #1. He also invited the hosts to film movies there.
Meanwhile, Kris commended the riverbank between Makati and Mandaluyong for its cleanliness.
When Kris, Erich and Carmina have already reached their destination at Guadalupe station, they headed to the Hatch 22 Cafe and Bakery and El Chupacabra for a food trip.
