If you are not sure about adopting cats, let Arci Muñoz and Ria Atayde convince you that they are one of the best animals in the world!

When she was a kid, Arci Muñoz always wanted a black and a white cat just like Sailor Moon. Eventually, the Kapamilya actress adopted a pair and named them Luna and Artemis just like in the Japanese animated series. Aside from the two, she has Posty who was named after one of her favorite rappers, Post Malone. And then there is Phantom the Persian. These are only four out of the 18 felines at her home.

Arci loves her cats so much that she buys them costumes and accessories for Halloween. They also shower together. This is more efficient since they hate water. “Mas madali silang paliguan kasi basa ka na,” she explained. Apparently, it is easier to give cats a bath compared to dogs. She knows this because she has Charot, a crossbreed between a Chowchow and a Rottweiler, hence the name.

Although, Arci is not just a cat and dog mom, there is a duck on her list of pets too. She finds happiness and comfort in her animal friends. In fact, she sometimes pretends to be Cinderella and talk to them. “May time na broken hearted ako, kinakausap ko ‘yung cats,” she admitted. Currently, all of her siblings have children. As for Arci, her cats are her children. “Ginawa nila kong nanay. Binago nila ‘yung buhay ko,” she ended.

On the other hand, Ria Atayde initially did not like cats. Until she spent a month babysitting a friend’s cat. Now, she has Kaspian the Persian Himalayan. The Kapamilya star wanted a name that started with a “K”. Coincidentally, when she was trying to come up with a name, she saw “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”.

Kaspian is her motivation at work. Whenever Ria struggles to cry in a scene, her father would jokingly dare to sell Kaspian. At one Christmas pajama party, the little feline met some of Ria‘s friends, including Enchong Dee, Jane Oineza, Khalil Ramos, Kathryn Bernardo, and Daniel Padilla. By the end of the night, everyone wanted to bring home Kaspian.

“Hello, future boyfriend. Sana mahilig ka sa cats,” she wished. If she had to choose between her cat and her boyfriend, Ria confessed that she will never let go of Kaspian.
