Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a Mondragon? Well, today is your chance! Kadenang Ginto is opening its doors and The Gold Squad’s Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin and Kyle Echarri will be your personal tour guides.
Entering from the front door, the first space you will see is the formal living area. Viewers must have plenty of memories of this part of the house. “Dito ‘yung pinagalitan ako ni daddy Robert,” Francine remembered. “Dito ako sinampal ng aking nanay,” Andrea added.
Next is a secret room where the magic of a teleserye happens. There Kyle introduced one of the cameramen who is apparently single and ready to mingle. Seth took the opportunity to play director and show where they review every camera angle of a scene. There are also some stock framed pictures on the side because sometimes this room turns into a study.
Upstairs are two bedrooms. First is Marga’s which was formerly Cassie’s. “Dito ko nakita na nagwawala si Robert,” Francine recalled from the small balcony. Next is Romina’s master bedroom, “Dito ‘yung inakala ni Daniela na patay na si mama Romina.”
Outside is the dirty kitchen where the food props were being eaten. There is the pool that served as the setting for some of Cassie and Marga’s fights. Still outside the main house is another one of Cassie’s former room. “Mabango dyan,” she boasted. As good as it must smell, it is admittedly not that tidy considering that most of her clothes were piled on top of the bed. “Sobrang init dito guys, kung alam n’yo lang, lagi kami pinagpapawisan,” Andrea shared. Next door is Daniela’s room, the maids’ quarters and an extra room, but they were all locked.
The Gold Squad then visited the space where they held Marga’s parties. Currently, it is being used by the catering crew. “Sila po ‘yung naghahain sa amin para magka-energy kami,” Seth stated. “Mga yaya ni Marga,” Andrea jokingly added.
As a bonus fun fact, Andrea revealed that most of the outdoor spaces are multipurpose, from a party venue and a hospital to Kristoff and Mikoy’s house. Even Cassie’s room has been transformed into a prison cell. So, the Mondragon mansion is truly more than your typical house.
Check out this video because it is your all access pass on set! And do not miss the surprise gift the The Gold Squad opened at the end! Hint: “Dahan-dahan, masasanla ‘yan,” Seth warned them.
