The morning after Daniela (Dimples Romana) dropped by their house to talk to her dad Hector (Joko Diaz), Roxanne (Criza Ta-a) spotted a shimmering bracelet on the carpeted floor and thought that it might have slipped from their visitor’s arm without her noticing.
As Hector asked her if she heard anything from their conversation the night before, Roxanne confronted him regarding his feelings for Daniela. She said that she would not be a hindrance if he falls in love again but not just with his boss for she doesn’t want him to appear as a homewrecker since Daniela is already married and has a family.
Unbeknownst to Hector, Roxanne secretly went to the Mondragon residence to return Daniela’s bracelet. Upon seeing her standing by the doorway, Daniela immediately left Marga (Andrea Brillantes) at the dining table and went up to her to ask the reason of her unsolicited visit and told her to leave right away after taking her bracelet back. When Roxy was about to leave the mansion, Daniela dashed after her to thank her for her good deed and to remind her as well to notify her or Hector first on her next visit. She also requested her to tell no one that she went to their house.
Meanwhile at the Bartolomes, Gino (Nikko Natividad) quizzed Mikoy (Seth Fedelin) regarding his visit to Cassie (Francine Diaz) and Kristoff (Kyle Echarri) at the hospital. The latter divulged to them Cassie’s harrowing condition and what Tupe told him, to which Jude (Luke Conde) commented that what happened to them might not be an accident but was done on purpose. As what he always does, Kulas (Ronnie Lazaro) warned his police son not to meddle as he doesn’t want their family to be involved in Romina’s (Beauty Gonzalez) woes.
But as persistent and sincere that he is, not to mention his superiors’ order to him to not interfere, Jude still continued his own investigations on Romina’s rape case. He went to Alvin’s (Eric Fructuso) abode to probe him about his possible participation in Cassie’s accident and his real intentions on coming at the Mondragons’ house uninvited and his dubious curiosity on Robert’s (Albert Martinez) cufflinks. But Alvin denied the first and kept mum on the latter. Hector suddenly arrived and told him that they would not tell him anything so he better back-off.
At the hospital, the investigators conveyed to Romina and Bernard (Arnold Reyes) that there’s a possibility that what happened to their children is a case of mistaken identity. According to a witness’ statement and the absence of skid marks at the crime scene, it’s evident that crashing the car was not an accident but was done purposively. Since the car was registered under Romina’s name and she uses it most of the time, the culprit perhaps have really targeted her and not the kids. When asked who she thinks could be the one to do this, there’s nobody in her mind but Daniela.
Thus, as soon as she arrived at the office, Romina immediately went up to Daniela and accused her of being the mastermind of this heinous scheme. It ensued to a heated argument between them, with the latter’s most trusted confidant Savannah (Kim Molina) trying to stop her from hitting her “Dani Girl”, so Romina poured her rage on her and hit her as strong as he could until Bernard came and restrained them. Romina would not want Daniela to be incarcerated since she would take her straight to hell once it will be proven that she’s the one behind this chaos.
Feeling the weight of Romina’s wrath, Savannah couldn’t help but grill Daniela regarding her alleged involvement in this case but she just kept on denying it, telling her that of all people, she should be the one to know that she couldn’t kill anyone or order someone to do it for her, even her stiff nemesis Romina. But she confessed that she indeed told Hector to do anything to stop Romina from pushing the investigations of her rape case.
With that, Daniela once again came at Hector’s house that night to ask him about the progress of his plans against Romina. At first, he tried to cover up the failure of the scheme he plotted, but she incessantly interrogated her, which made him admit that what happened to Cassie was actually a mistake. Their conversation then diverted to Hector once again professing his romantic feelings towards her, to which she retorted that she’s never going to reciprocate the affection and attention that he voluntarily showers her. Before she left, he reminded her that between him and her husband Carlos (Adrian Alandy), it’s the latter who completely understands her and who’s willing to do whatever she wishes no matter what it takes.
Meanwhile, due to the current predicament that they’re in, Tupe wasn’t able to contain his emotions seeing his love in pain, thus he relentlessly apologizes to her and blames himself for what happened to them. Cassie, despite of her agony, mustered enough strength to console him and told him that what’s more important is that they’re both out of danger and still alive.
In the midst of their discussions regarding the initial findings of the investigators, Kristoff suddenly declared that he remembered something about the suspect. But during the interrogation, his memory went blurry again, making it difficult to for him to recall the suspect’s features or identification marks, at least, no matter how hard he tried.
As soon as her photoshoot was done, Marga went to the hospital along with Mikoy to pay Cassie a visit. Even though they’re stiff rivals, her emotions crept into her as she talked to the sleeping Cassie to urge her to not give up just yet and continue to fight in order for her to survive. All of a sudden, Marga was shocked to see Cassie having a seizure.
